Sources

Ranking, inversion counts, top speeds, heights, opening years, makers and each ride's element list, with Wikipedia where our sources list no figure, from the Airtime Fever coaster dataset of US operating roller coasters, read Wed 9/30/2026. The dataset leaves out coasters our sources rate family or kiddie.

Steel Curtain's two counts: its Wikipedia article and Coasterpedia. Most per state: the same dataset, every operating coaster in each state.
