What riders love
  • The intensity is insane (I greyed out on the second loop), and the layout is uniquely designed.
  • the positive g’s you experience going through those first few loops had me laughing non-stop . its’s insane, i could feel my face being ripped off.
  • The loops pull absurd Gs and the pacing is incredible.
  • It hits a pretty solid speed, and goes through 7 amazing inversions.
  • It has a weird, unique layout and some cool intense inversions, like the batwing.
  • If you like coasters that do corkscrews and loops at high speed, Then this one is a winner.
  • Coming onto the mid-course, I got some insane airtime. Like, Steel Vengeance airtime.
  • one of the best rides there, then going into the midcourse i get the MOST EJECTOR AIRTIME I HAVE EVER FELT!
  • It's extremely intense, has a good layout, and even has a surprise ejector pop before the midcourse.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Six Flags Magic Mountain

one of the best rides there, then going into the midcourse i get the MOST EJECTOR AIRTIME I HAVE EVER FELT!

Marcelo Milk

You get some nice airtime on the way up to the mid course which is a plus.

joe m

It’s extremely intense, has a good layout, and even has a surprise ejector pop before the midcourse.

Aryan P.

The jump on the mid-course break run is weirdly one of the best airtime moments EVER.

Jonah S.

Every inversion hits hard, and there’s even a nice pop of ejector.

Nathan

Coming onto the mid-course, I got some insane airtime.

CoasterKiwi

I found it, while not perfectly smooth, to be running far smoother than most other Arrow coasters I’ve ridden.

Nathan F

It is an incredibly rough and uncomfortable ride.

QueenieTheThoosie

The ride is rough all the way through.

Angela G.

Rode in the back row and it is very intense and could see it being a very fun coaster but the restraints are pretty uncomfortable and it is so rough.

James Andrus

I came off it thinking it was okay, but I then remembered the intensity and eventually brought this from a 5/10 to a 7.5/10.

Nico G.

The first section with the vertical loops is pretty intense and not too rattly, but then the second half is worse.

Erik C.

Has some good moments with decent forces but sometimes is too intense.

Shmee

You then pull upwards until you hit a vertical loop, which due to the weird entrance of the loop, the element is pretty disorienting and pretty forceful in my opinion.

R38Coasters

I really, really, really respect this attraction from a G-forces perspective.

themeparknerd

I personally had a great time on this with its intensity on the inversions in the front row and the sense of speed you get.

joe m

If you like coasters that do corkscrews and loops at high speed, Then this one is a winner.

Michael R.

I Heard that this coaster Is very very unconfortable but honestly i found this ride quite enjoyable,in the last row It has a good pace and the inversions are great.

Alessio Romano

This thing is almost 200 feet tall and ridiculously fast.

Elijah Bacelieri

It ran pretty fast during the first half of the ride before they added the trim brakes.

@LeJeanZone

Add the fact that there’s almost never a line for this thing because of its reputation and somewhat secluded location, and you have the potential for some truly crazy ride counts even when the other...

Evangelion Martini

Viper has Magic Mountain’s shortest wait time by far....for good reason.

Panthrpants

I got to ride it two times in a row cause of the really short lines, but honestly I didn’t even bump my head or my neck, it was a really fun ride with great speed and many loops.

@emjay9458

As you can see, I may not recommend this ride, but there is usually a short line.

Got one ride in and it was first of the trip so maybe my head wasn’t screwed on right yet but I seriously loved it in the back row which wasn’t very rough albeit slightly janky.

caden, Captain Coaster review

I’ve heard this ride is fine once you clear the over-the-shoulder restraints, but I rode as a kid over a decade ago, and the headbanging was VIOLENT!

Matheus Castello, Captain Coaster review

The coaster might have some rough transitions and 2 dead spots (strong mid course break, straight track near the end) but its one hell lot of fun to ride.

Joel Simon, Captain Coaster review

the positive g’s you experience going through those first few loops had me laughing non-stop .

Eli Akkari, Captain Coaster review

Now, Viper is a coaster that provides a great view of all of the coasters in the park!

Ryan S., review

The layout is interesting and I really enjoy the way it looms over everything, but I just can’t get over how rough the thing is.
