It truly does feel like you are an eagle flying over the top of Dollywood in the Great Smoky Mountains.
As a first time rider, you can’t see the majority of the coaster until you reach the top of the lift hill, so the reveal is great!
Wild Eagle, like most coasters at Dollywood, uses it's terrain amazingly, and it might be the most photogenic coaster I've personally ridden.
I had 3 rides on this in 2019 and every ride had terrific airtime all the way down the drop.
The straight drop gives great sustained floater airtime and I love the location above the mountains.
I was immediately surprised by the first drop on Wild Eagle, which is far superior to any drop on other B&M Wing coasters.
The inversions are taken at a perfectly graceful speed, providing good hangtime and several near misses with the trees; while the helices at the end offer a pop of airtime, and a slight hint of laterals.
it's just pure fun, like the first drop has some good pull in the back, the inversions are so floaty and have so much hangtime, and there wasn't a rattle on the coaster.
Every time I ride this I am more impressed with how good the first three elements are.
