What riders love
  • It definitely makes you feel like being in a fighter get blasting through those inversions.
  • Zero-G roll is very snappy and the cobra roll is surprisingly snappy as well.
  • Inversions were really fun and unexpected since I couldnt see them coming.
  • Raptor is that friend who is very physical who both likes to push your buttons and force you out of your comfort zone but would never EVER intentionally hurt you.
  • This is by far the most intense and forceful ride in the park, because your feet are dangling and all the blood rushes to them.
  • I barely gray out on coasters but i almost blacked out on that helix. This ride is INTENSE.
  • I really like how it whips you around, and each element flows nicely into the next.
  • The entire layout is very well composed, it rides smoothly and there's a lot of positive Gs as on many other B&M Inverts.
  • With a fast paced, inversion coaster, it flips and whips you around every corner.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Cedar Point

The drop gives some cool rare airtime for an invert and the loop, zero g roll, cobra roll and corkscrews are all really good.

Cooper Zimmerman

The first drop and dip towards the end of the ride give shockingly good airtime and whip, and the inversions are great.

yallowchicken coasters

Pre drop always is great followed by a first drop that surprisingly gives airtime.

Bubble Gaming

I would add that I try to sit on the right side in the back, because the profiling on the first drop leads to a nice pop of airtime about halfway down.

@thomasxl200

I thought the ride was very smooth and only had one section before the final brake that can bang you if you’re not ready.

Finn V.

However I can say that this is one of the smoother ones.

Parker Gann

But in actuality, I’m still engaged with the ride experience, and here’s why: the final transition out of this left turn and into the brake run is notoriously sudden and frequently quite painful.

Roller Coaster Philosophy

The raptor Smack is basically a quick jolt while coming into the brake run.

Incredible Coasters

The inverisons are all very intense and whippy, especially the corkscrews, and that final helix is an insane foot numbing intense element

Inverted Thrills

The first time I ever rode it I almost blacked out.

touchdown62

I figured it would be a cool ride, but I was actually caught off guard how intense and enjoyable it ended up being.

Sean Reardon

It had a decent intensity, and a good loop, but the cobra roll and everything after just didn’t hit for me.

Maddux

Low intensity for one, but a good duration and amazing operations.

Birb from not Canada

Nice contrast to Banshee downstate - Raptor throws the elements at you a bit faster, while Banshee is more drawn out, big and graceful.

Wet Willie

We shred through the loop as if it were an invitation to go listen to Rush Limbaugh.

Incredible Coasters

I may be wrong, but it seems like raptor runs slightly faster than its clone in France.

Dylan JM

This is my favorite inverted coaster because of the pace, intensity, and invertions but it does have some dead spots and a bit of bang bang to the head.

Xander Neagoe

It’s a bit slow through the midcourse brakes but this provides a welcome respite from the assault on the senses generated by the rest of the ride.

@JFrombaugh

I rode it this weekend at the end of the night as a walk-on, row 2 outer right side, lots of bugs in my face.

Paige Schmid

On the plus side, zero queue meant a front row walk-on and a back row reride.

Simon C.

Close to when the park closes on a not so busy day, their is never a line.

Millan B.

I’m sad every time the helix starts because I know the ride is almost done and I’ll have to wait another 45 minutes to ride it again.

Nate Kunnen

It’s not uncommon for this ride to immediately have a 1-2 hour wait.

Canobie Coaster
Motion sickness risk

It’s a little dizzying, but still a fun ride nonetheless.

Basil Robinson

I avoid the back seats because the intense whip can make me feel barfy.

Raptor is a good B&M invert I love its layout and intensity it just whips you around but it also has a rattle and can be rough.

Stormin Norman, Captain Coaster review

This ride would be good, but there’s an awful rattle for the majority of it, which can lead to headbanging with the OTSRs, and if you hold the handles, your elbows will get pushed directly into the seat.

George A., Captain Coaster review

I think it’s better in the front, but the back was pretty dreadful, the cobra roll has tons of headbanging, your head feels like jelly, and your body feels like a pinball.

Maddox Cox, Captain Coaster review

Really liked this one, the inversions are very snappy and you can’t see them coming and the helix at the end pulls some great positives.

Chermaine Streppel, Captain Coaster review

The long track length gives Raptor plenty of space to breathe, meaning it doesn’t feel as compact as some other B&M Inverters.

Theme Park James, published review

I guess this is controversial, but I didn’t enjoy a single thing about Raptor.

Cory Sanin, Captain Coaster review
