Ride it: back row POV
The smoothest Vekoma Boomerang I've ridden so far.
What riders love
  • This one is much smoother, so I could actually enjoy the uniqueness of a loop and cobra roll backwards
  • The backward section is a lot of fun and taking a loop backward is pretty cool.
  • Intense vertical loop especially going backwards, and the first drop is always great.
  • Maybe the scariest thing about it is being pulled backwards up the lift at the beginning, seeing where you're going all the while.
  • Great first drop, disorienting, and somewhat fun.

Colin M.

The smoothest Vekoma Boomerang I’ve ridden so far.

David

After you navigate your way through the cobra roll with only mild headbanging, you go into a loop.

Incredible Coasters

...better like so so so much better i would have taken a small family coaster in that spot over a rough boomerang the head banging is also a really big problem i’m a very short individual and I’ll hit...

Theodore Orfan

I started to gray out a bit on the vertical loop--I think the force of that loop is underrated.

Matt McIrvin

The loop is fun and it pulls quite a lot of Gs.

Incredible Coasters

Intense vertical loop especially going backwards, and the first drop is always great.

Blathers
Motion sickness risk

This ride is incredibly nauseating, but a lot of fun.

@johnapplebob9570

It can make you pretty sick and dizzy if you keep going on this over and over again.

Colin M., Captain Coaster review

call me crazy but this is one of the better boomerangs that I have ridden and for the people that complain about roughness well yeah it would probably be a bit smoother if it had vests but still a fun ride

David F., Captain Coaster review

The pros though is that the anticipation on the pull back for the first drop is great.

Isaiah White, Captain Coaster review

There is the classic headbanging you get with these models but the loop and cobra roll forwards and backwards will never not be fun.

Clayton Latone, Captain Coaster review

I started to gray out a bit on the vertical loop--I think the force of that loop is underrated.

Matt McIrvin, Captain Coaster review

This is a very good boomerang and rides quite smooth compared to Flashback at the nearby SFNE.

Past incidents

  1. June 2001On June 14, 2001, the sensor on Zoomerang failed to communicate properly with the ride's automatic braking system, allowing the train of cars to continue on its own energy until it came to rest in a section of track 60 feet in the air, in the low point of the ride's cobra roll.
