The dueling turnaround moments were sometimes a bit slow, but otherwise it ran fast, it had great airtime, and it was just a fantastic woodie.

The first element following the drop is a twisting and tall s-curve-like hill, which rises up just enough to give a small taste of floater air.

They pale in comparison to any modern GCI, but there’s still some decent airtime (especially on the drop and double down), and some elements have some pop to them.

I was surprised at how long it was, and it was smoother than I expected, especially when comparing it to its counterpart Wildcat just across the way

I wouldn’t put this one up near the top of my favorite wooden roller coasters because it wasn’t very intense and also wasn’t the smoothest.

Lightning Racer used to be an elite GCI - but with age, the several dead spots of the layout have become more obvious, and the coaster itself has become unforgivably rough.

This thing runs a little slow, but with a full train you get some fun floater airtime on most of the hills, and the first drop is one of my favorite on a woodie

I truly love marathoning this coaster as due to the 4 long trains and being in the back of the park lines move fast for this coaster as long as all trains are being used.
