What riders love
  • The final return hills tucked in the trees are my favorite part. You really fly out of your seat.
  • This leads you into the epic finale: 3 back to back ejector airtime hills. This is my favorite part of the ride.
  • Amazing sustained and strong airtime, constantly out of your seat.
  • I didn't have "almost blacking out on a B&M hyper helix" on my BINGO card for today.
  • I knew the double helix was going to be forceful, but I didn't anticipate greying out for that long on a B&M Hyper.
  • The third drop over the pond followed by one of the strongest helixes they've ever made is a serious one-two punch of forces.
  • I love how this coaster creatively goes outside the park and weaves its way back in.
  • Goliath is also beautiful, as it crosses through many parts of the park, and it even goes outside the park entrance for a lil lap near the entrance pathways.
  • Maybe I'm easily impressed, but I liked watching the cars drive under us as we crossed over the road.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Six Flags Over Georgia

The ride is really made by the helix and the floaty final hills, and this demented drop at the very end that comes completely out of the blue.

Henry Marth

It is a spectacular ride which offers diving drops, airtime hills and swooping turns.

Theme Park James

The second drop is actually 5 feet longer and then the 3rd offers some excellent floater air time.

Coaster Critic

The layout mostly consists of camelbacks as one would expect, but these offer strong floater to ejector airtime in the back row.

Michael M.

It’s slow, meaning the airtime isn’t that strong (although I did ride this on a cold morning, so that could have something to do with it).

Tobin Billings

After boarding the comfortable trains, Goliath makes its twenty story climb right over the pathways in 50’sville.

Coaster Critic

As with all B&M hypers, the trains are amazing and the ride is smooth outside of the first few valleys.

Beau

Unfortunately it’s starting to show its age with all the rattling in the valleys, but it’s nothing more than a minor annoyance at this stage.

Bryan Bonafede

As someone who hardly complains about roughness, this was one of the roughest coasters I’ve ever been on.

Justin Lininger

There is also no mcbr meaning there isn’t really any break in the insanity and the whole coaster just feels so out of control for a B&M.

Cooper Zimmerman

The unorthodox helix has a ‘down the drain’ feeling and pulls some great g-forces.

Coaster Critic

On a fully loaded train on a hot day this thing is absolutely insane with the positives on the helix and the airtime everywhere else.

DiamondOrPoor78

runs amazing, has top tier airtime, and the downwards helix is one of the most intense elements i’ve experienced on a b&m hyper.

Jamie Óchi

When I finally got the courage up to ride it, I found Goliath to be remarkably tame.

Sean Reardon

Incredible airtime on every hill, high-speed and intense, the scenery is gorgeous-- ride during a sunset if you can!

Cormac Gillis

At the bottom, the train flies close to a pond below and you can really feel the ride’s speed.

Coaster Critic

The helix is super intense and the ride maintains a consistently strong pace throughout its entire layout.

Brendan Keller

It’s a "big-boy" as my daughter likes to say, but not on a giga-coaster scale and while the speed was great, I think the absence of a truly steep drop left me longing for more.

Sean Reardon

It’s such a long ride with fantastic airtime hills (especially the last few over the park’s main entrance), an insane helix that made me almost black out every time, and an awesome sense of speed.

Zach Payne

Beyond the ride experience, operations were smooth and it was running at full capacity all day, meaning-despite the large crowd that day-the wait was never longer than 30 minutes.

Logan Norris

The B&M trains are comfortable, high capacity, and spacious.

Eric Esty

Capacity is also fantastic on these things.

Max S.

With it being so popular, there is a very long line most of the time.

Abigail Reardon

Would have ridden it over and over but there was a two hour wait.

@KatesSpaceYT
Height fear

The slow ascension towards the drop is as scary as the drop itself.

@thelonelydekuscrub4817

The presence of this coaster in the park, especially walking under the lift hill to its plaza, is truly intimidating.

Roller Coasters of Thailand
Motion sickness risk

This ride a demon my brother threw up on it he waited til off then he did

@thebizarrecrew2580

Unlike the other airtime machines I’ve ridden, this one didn’t make my head spin afterwards, which is a bonus.

Sam Dickson

Should I ride it?

Criticised for

Rough or rattly

This ride has great floater and an intense helix in the first half and incredible ejector in the second.

ArieForce One Glazer, Captain Coaster review

Ok so I rode Goliath about a month ago and it was absolutely phenomenal, and was the best ride in the park even over twisted cyclone.

Rhett Bell, Captain Coaster review

similar experience but this actually gave pretty strong floater airtime and that little tight moment after the final airtime hills surprised me.

ColdplayFan360 RollerCoasterFreak, Captain Coaster review

After boarding the comfortable trains, Goliath makes its twenty story climb right over the pathways in 50’sville.

Coaster Critic, published review

This version of Goliath as I remember it was a lot of fun, but equally lacks a stand out feature to take it from merely being "good" to "excellent".

Dave Scott, Captain Coaster review

Decent drop, floater airtime, floater airtime, floater airtime, GRACEFUL TURNAROUND, floater airtime, floater airtime, floater airtime and breaks!
