What riders love
  • The airtime lasts for a full 5 seconds, which is longer than any other coaster I have ridden.
  • You probably know, but his has some of the best airtime in the world and feels like floating in space.
  • On the airtime hills i was being held in the vehicle by my knee caps.
  • The fact that it's over the water gives for beautiful views and even better illusions. The first drop was built in such a way that you wouldn't realize there was more track until the drop was over.
  • The first drop was really good and you float the whole way down it, being pushed up into the industry-best clamshells.
  • The first drop is glorious in the back row giving me strong sustained flojector airtime the whole way down and the following camel back did as well, but stronger towards the front.
  • The clamshell harness is extremely comfy and allows you to really appreciate the ride.
  • Airtime galore and with the clamshell restraints you feel it all.
  • the amount of room you can get on this ride with the amount of airtime on the ride feels almost illegal.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at SeaWorld Orlando

Great coaster, first half is filled with floater and is so relaxing, but the second half isn’t that good and kind of brings mako down for me.

PaulGun

After completing the L-shaped turn, Mako drops and sends you over the first fully parabolic hill, which is filled with oodles of airtime!

Coaster Critic

Its been many many years since I last rode this so Im giving it a lower rating for now, but I can say the airtime on this ride was very good and that finale was pretty weak.

Aidan

Then you go into the staple of B&M hyper coaster: floater airtime hills.

Limitless Park

I see why they need them but after doing shambhala before this I was left disappointed with the lack of intensity and airtime on the ride.

Marmaliser

It doesn’t always give the best sense of speed, especially at the end, but as with the other hypers, it’s smooth, comfortable, and fun.

Nathan F

It’s got height, speed, and intensity, all while being glass smooth.

Coaster Critic

The trains are comfortable and the ops let you get a lot of room.

Carter Eckhart

The ride is glossy smooth ,and has a great layout.

Limitless Park

I felt a really weird jolt at the bottom of the first drop.

Dylan JM

The coaster also has a unique element in the hammerhead turn, which is a pretty cool feature that provides some good G-forces.

Limitless Park

It’s a nice, pleasant ride with some long floater airtimes and some decent intensity.

Coaster Nut

It was still intense getting back to the station even with the abrupt halt in speed.

Max S.

This may be the most intense B&M hyper I’ve ever ridden.

Brian Sheldon

Secondly, this ride is not very thrilling, but that doesn’t matter because, thirdly, this is absolutely filled with airtime!

Leonardo S.

Like all b&m hypers it is not that intense

Henry Japha

Still solidly smooth, great pacing - especially with the speed hill, and an exciting location right on the lake with awesome views.

Wesley C.

This coaster is beautifully built with a perfect tall drop (not too high), amazing twists and turns, the speed is fast and enjoyable, and is as smooth as a coaster can possibly get.

Gavin Baez

Floater airtime over *almost* every hill, super tall and fast, and luxurious trains and lap bars.

Zach Payne

A slow-down on the Mid Course Brake Run is followed by a “floater” airtime hill before you head into the aforementioned twisted finale.

Coaster Critic

It has a perfect first half and a never ending drop, lots of airtime, and more, now the trim brakes that start the second half kinda ruin the ride.

Jacky Eron

Also, the four across seating and relatively good dispatches for a SeaWorld park meant I was able to get lots of rides in on this.

Tobin Billings

The way the station is set up, the back row line is partially concealed behind some theming, so most people don’t seem to head there, leaving it with a short line usually.

Michael M.

This thing sends out people fast too, I’ve seen it around 50 seconds total when they send the train out.

Brandon L.

9/10 - the queue is really pretty, but why is it such a long walk for a ride that barely gets a wait?

MapleFlakes

The only problem I noticed was the capacity.

it’s a smooth ride, it has fantastic floater airtime, and the presentation around it is so cool.

Sam M., Captain Coaster review

Went in thinking this would be my new #1 B&M hyper, and was pretty disappointed.

Nathan, Captain Coaster review

All jokes aside, both thrill and story-wise a great use of coaster forces to make a strong contender for the best coaster in the world.

Nyargleblargle, Captain Coaster review

Overall, I would have to say that Mako is definitely one of the best hyper coasters I have been on, and one of the best coasters overall.

Aidan, Captain Coaster review

The layout is functional but not exactly inspired; a straight forward out-and-back rather than attempting to do too much clever with all that power.
