What riders love
  • The layout is fantastic, its classic roar is beautiful, and the number of inversions is great!
  • The two inversions are forceful, and the first drop is great.
  • The loop, turn around, stengle dive, and corkscrew are all pretty fun.
  • Great little stand up, very intense with some funky forces.
  • Some nice positive gs throughout giving that feet tingling feeling.
  • The layout isn't too big so the force doesn't tire out your legs but it's still pretty intense.
  • Why do I love this thing so much? Is it the sleek and smooth track, or feeling like you are surfing?
  • Unlike a lot of loopers this one has an emphasis on heavy banking which is just fun.
  • This was the biggest surprise in the park!

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Six Flags Over Georgia

The first drop has great floater, and the second half whips you around close to the ground.

Scott Quisenberry

First drop had airtime, and it was intense.

Christopher S.

There is airtime on this ride.

Kyle Marcus

There are surprising moments of airtime, it honestly reminds me of Pipeline’s airtime.

Ethan Ausburn

If you sit in the back you get amazing floater on the first drop

@Rollercoasterhq

The drops even give you a little airtime in the back of the train.

Joe Bord

I knew to slightly squat for the height lock so I experienced no crotch pain and surprisingly no headbanging; it was quite comfortable.

MapleFlakes

While I recall some slight headbanging on the restraints during my last rides of Green Lantern and Riddler’s Revenge, Georgia Scorcher was buttery smooth.

Coaster101

Obviously it’s not the most comfortable ride in the world, but this coaster is actually pretty smooth and it’s great the way it is.

Ethan Ausburn

I’m not going into the specifics, but I’m just going to mention that it was one of the most painful rides I’ve been on for a certain area.

Christopher S.

From the standing up position to the restraints and the roughness, I didn’t like this ride all that much

Jonas

This was a “one-and-done” ride with the crotch discomfort and everything that’s wrong with looping B&Ms generally with way too much force in a low height layout.

David

It’s really intense but like pretty much every other standup coaster, it’s very uncomfortable.

Jonas

...riding vortex not to long before this i was expecting it to be the same but this standup was really smooth and the inversions really were intense but standups are just not comfortable to ride in.

Evan S

The layout isn’t too big so the force doesn’t tire out your legs but it’s still pretty intense.

Jack Jack J.

It’s relatively smooth and not very intense.

Coaster Critic

It does have great capacity at 32, so there wasn’t much line today, whereas others in the park had lengthy waits.

Richard Buman

The capacity is good tho.

Reid Keeter

With a short queue and high capacity, you can probably ride the Georgia Scorcher after Twisted Cyclone and still rope drop Dare Devil Dive -- if everything goes according to plan.

Roller Coasters of Thailand

The ride is very short especially when compared with the amount of time waiting in line.

Jonathan Stafford

No one wants to stand in line for 5 hours to get on a ride that you stand up on.

Ednor L Attaque Never did it

One of the more comfortable standing coasters that I’ve been on.

Jonathan Stafford, Captain Coaster review

Scorcher has a more interesting and longer layout, which earns it some points, but I can’t say this is a ride I feel the urge to do again any time soon.

Sam Dickson, Captain Coaster review

This has a solid layout, with a second half that plays low to the ground and bangs your head around a bit.

Maddux, Captain Coaster review

I hate standup coasters but this was much different I actually came off very pleased I didn’t get much head banging, no pressure on my feat which bothers me the most and no pain on my balls which I don’t really experience anyway

ColdplayFan360 RollerCoasterFreak, Captain Coaster review

Georgia Scorcher remains perhaps as the most well-designed stand-up coaster of them all.

Coaster101, published review

But this one has the intensity dialed way back from Riddler’s Revenge which kind of defeats the purpose for me.
