What riders love
  • I absolutely LOVE the airtime on this ride! I felt like I was off my seat half of the ride!
  • Every airtime moment hit hard, and at some points I really felt like I was going to fly out of the car.
  • You'd be hard pressed to find an other coaster that has this strength of airtime in this quantity.
  • Those back to back camelbacks provide some of the greatest forces on the planet.
  • This might be the best ride for ejector airtime in the country, I swear back row you are out of your seat more than you’re in it.
  • Ejector airtime on bunny hops are awesome! Absolutely yoinks you out of your seat.
  • The barrel roll drop is unique and executed so well and the feeling of picking up speed while upside down is something you have to experience.
  • The first drop is a perfect whippy hangtime filled masterpiece.
  • The first drop with the twist is so much better in the back row.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Kings Dominion

While not being nearly as good as that ride, this is still a fantastic airtime filled ride with some fun inversions thrown in for good measure.

Inverted Thrills

Kings Dominion claim there are twenty pops of airtime, and there’s not much to argue with - you’ll feel yourself flying out of your seat almost constantly!

Theme Park James

...has a large quantity of airtime hills and I do think the first half is very effective between the barrell roll drop and the series of larger ejector hills that have really good pull in the back.

Bryan Bonafede

It’s like the coco melon of coasters; it has so many airtime hills that I was just thrown into my lap bar the whole time.

Thunderbolt

...watching POV videos I decided that it was well worth a trip to Virginia.  This coaster offers novelty, airtime and thrills.  The pacing is close to perfect and except for the lift hill the ride is...

Coaster Critic

To borrow a quote from IGN "8/10 too much ejector airtime".

Sam Dickson

With its smoothness, creativity, dynamism and clever theming, Twisted Timbers is a brilliant rollercoaster and perhaps one of the finest RMCs to date.

Theme Park James

My overall fav at King’s Dominion (I don’t think I’d be able to handle I305 💔) It’s intense and has great air times, and it glides over the track like butter.

BingoDingo

...and thrills.  The pacing is close to perfect and except for the lift hill the ride is exquisitely smooth.  As to the thrills, I would place Twisted Timbers in the high thrill rather than extreme...

Coaster Critic

I just had slight discomfort from the bar being too tight on my stomach and didn’t care for the tiny bunny hills that felt almost like overkill.

Wesley C.

The restraint doesn’t allow my long legs to reach the floor, and makes the ejector airtime slightly uncomfortable for the thighs.

Brian Humphreys

This ride has some unbelievable airtime, however the airtime can be a bit much if you aren’t an experience coaster enthusiast.

Eric Clash

Luckily Twisted Timbers is an example of RMC at their greatest: it is intense for sure, but comfortably so and a definite candidate for multiple re-rides.

Theme Park James

It never gave me a chance to enjoy it and it was overstimulating.

Thunderbolt

All of the elements are taken extremely fast and the intensity never lets up from the first drop all the way to the brake run.

Michael M.

I love the smoothness and the fact that it lacks intense or too sustained positive Gs, the airtime in the first half is more sustained than the one in the second half so for my tastes I liked the...

Alessandra

It ran super fast all day so the front doesn’t provide anything better except a clearer view during the ride.

Max S.

The pacing also surprised me, you fly through the layout and never feel like you slow down, the elements progressively get more rapid fire and this ride is just wild and relentless.

Carter Eckhart

The train just flies through the track layout as dead spots are non-existent.

Nicolas Mattioli

This ride hauls, it has length, airtime, and the first twisted drop is great!

Controversial Coasters

I loved everything about this coaster, even if it was running slow and only with one train.

Sena Coasters

My only complaint is that operations can be pretty terrible, and they seem to like running only one train for some reason.

Alex Maxam

No complaints about the ride itself, but the queue lines can get very long, and the time I went, it was on only one train.

Darcy

The triple back to back to back hills are absolute ejector heaven and the first drop is not only unique but awesome.

Eli Cipriano, Captain Coaster review

This is the most overrated ride I have ever ridden and I gave this ride a chance with 15 rides over 4 days.

DiamondOrPoor78, Captain Coaster review

The first barrel roll drop is amazing and sets this rise apart.

Nick Barrett, Captain Coaster review

This might be the best ride for ejector airtime in the country, I swear back row you are out of your seat more than you’re in it.

Brian Newman, Captain Coaster review

Theme Park James, published review

I found the harness great and it was a lot of fun the first ride only, but must’ve bruised my thighs quite badly, and subsequent rides over the coming days were quite painful which spoiled the fun of the ride.
