What riders love
  • I feel like I’m riding a bucking bronco on a lot of rides, but this one feels like I’m strapped to a missile.
  • I rode this ride 13 times yesterday, blacked out twice, and still feeling it a day later.
  • The only roller coaster I get off wondering how it's legal.
  • Ride it in the back, mainly for the first drop. It's ejector 300 feet downward.
  • the back is also amazing, you leave your seat for the entirety of the first drop.
  • The best experience is after dark in front, where the first drop feels twice as big and the speed is magnified.
  • The bulk of the ride is a series of hard banks that whip you back and forth - this part of the ride is THE most fun.
  • It feels like the coaster just can’t decide which way it wants to go and tries to kill you and your vision while it makes its mind up.
  • You just tear through the layout and the transitions are relentless.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Kings Dominion

The rest of the ride is just constant high speed transitions that whip you side to side and there’s even some floater thrown in to mix it up.

Jack Jack J.

I love the weird airtime/lateral hill, but the first giant hill and the back to back turn sections just don’t do it for me.

Barclay Weil

Both airtime hills deliver some very good ejector airtime, but what I find to be my favorite part of the ride are those snappy transitions.

Mason Newton

Following that up with an insane sustained ejector hill followed by several low to the ground rapid transitions is just the cherry on top.

uhhh roller coasters

While not an airtime coaster, there is just enough airtime to allow your vision to return, before whipping you into another sharp turn.

Nick Barrett

3 Chevy right through Jungle Expedition and created this uber intense yet buttery smooth masterpiece and no one had the guts to tell him no.

brothers back row

I could complain about the lack of lap bars and use of shoulder strap, but I won’t because there wasn’t any head banging and it was fairly comfortable.

A Wild Walter

The first drop is phenomenal, the intensity is perfect (any more would be too much), the speed is awesome and the ride is smooth despite the pace.

Simon

This is the only coaster I have ever ridden that I come off it with a headache, not because it’s rough but because the g-forces are too extreme.

Stephen Barr

The high speed turns do get a little painful on my neck and back though.

@wesleyx1

You’re just getting crazy-high sustained positive Gs for such a long period of time while curving upwards and it’s just so insanely intense.

Anthony DeNight Jr.

I got severe tunnel vision from the pullout of the drop all the way to the crest of the first airtime hill - that’s some insane sustained intensity (to the point of discomfort and a bit of panic).

Jackie ODoyle

Very intense for a coaster and thats a positive for all the quick turns but its also a negative for making about 99% grey out which can be fun or a main complaint.

Evan S

...so long and we were like this better be a good ride well we were first row and I blacked out for at least 10 seconds and the wind was so fast and you are about to fall out of your harness even for...

OLIVIA REY

...and then the fall.  The rest of it, for me, was again, a literal snoozefest.  No grey out.  It wasn’t intense.  Many people had built it up for me.  However, I had recency bias because I had ridden...

BeeastFarmer

That first turn is pretty much an automatic blackout for me every ride and the whole rest of the coaster is ridiculously fast and forceful.

Cooper Zimmerman

incredible speed, incredible positive gs, incredible airtime snaps, wild laterals, mindboggling from start to finish, this is the perfect coaster.

SnowyShores

Amazing first drop, good airtimes, awesome pacing, and some unmatched intensity make this my favorite coaster at kings dominion.

Austin L.

The whip/lateral/airtime they give is unlike basically anything else, and the sustained speed rips the water out of your eyes.

Scott Quisenberry

And the whippy turns, the only bad thing is the mid-brake it slows it down to a crawl if the conditions arn’t correct, still a top tier ride.

Adriatic Tides

This ride was relentless up till the trims which ALMOST COMPLETELY killed momentum (tho the fun starts again after that hill).

Aric The Kakapo

This is probably the only ride I’ve ever seen that is a good ride that has a shorter wait because it is simply too much for the general public.

Jack L

Biggest issue is the reliability, while this ride is a walk on almost always, that doesn’t guarantee a ride as this thing broke down at least once an hour.

DiamondOrPoor78

Still a 10/10 ride, very re-rideable because of short lines, good capacity and smoothness.

Michael G.

Also it was not busy that day the longest wait for this coaster was 15 minutes so we dit it in the night like 12 times with 3 greay out moments that i never experiences at a rollercoaster before.

Rik Steetsel

PS: Idk if it was just my visit, but ops were painfully slow, some dispatches clocking in at almost 4-5 mins.

billius tobin

...find this coaster and decide to ride it because there was only a 30 minute wait but it turned into a 2 hour wait and we couldn’t get out of line so we were stuck in 90 degree weather for 2 hours in...

OLIVIA REY
Height fear

The only coaster that genuinely still makes me scared.

Philippe-Minh N.

To this day this is the only coaster I am ever scared to ride.

MapleFlakes
Motion sickness risk

Headache and nausea inducing.

Myroslav

Not nausea, but just, after two times I have to walk off like “that’s enough”.

Criticised for

Most intense coaster that i have done, G force wise even after the Expansion of the turn out of the first drop.

Robert, Captain Coaster review

Decent ride just really overrated and people really exaggerate how intense this thing is.

Micah Molby, Captain Coaster review

with that being said this coaster was fucking RELENTLESS the constant snaps and turns combined with just the sheer intensity of the first drop?

ducky, Captain Coaster review

I didn’t black out or gray out at all.  This coaster was boring. The worst of the GiGaS.

BeeastFarmer, review

This is the only coaster I have ever ridden that I come off it with a headache, not because it’s rough but because the g-forces are too extreme.

Stephen Barr, Captain Coaster review

Despite the name change, this is still one of the greatest rides I have ever ridden, and one of the most important for me on my coaster journey.
