What riders love
  • Airtime Heaven, this thing really hauls! The constant airtime pops are so much fun!
  • My favorite part of the ride is all of the airtime hills because you just get yanked over those hills!
  • The out and back layout is awesome and I love flying through the woods while being thrown out of my seat.
  • Absolutely tears through its layout, start to finish, hopping over hill after hill after hill.
  • It's not the longest ride but man it starts at 100 and ends at 100 so it's perfect!
  • It is genuinely baffling both how well this ride keeps its speed and how smooth it's managed to stay.
  • This wooden coaster throws you around in a good way. It feels like a runaway train that's going to fly off the tracks!
  • An absolutely nerve-frying waterfall of intense sensations. It's savage. It's atmospheric.
  • The theming in the queue and on the lift hill is a nice added touch, but this ride's speed, airtime, laterals, and positive forces stand alone as an intense, exhilarating ride.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Kings Island

An fantastic airtime filled coaster which runs right out into the woods while throughout you out of your seat without ever losing its speed.

Tom Fairnie

The front is my favorite because I feel like it gives more ejector air, but to be honest, no seat gives a bad ride.

DiamondBanshee

Here you get two more great airtime hills, particularly, crossing back over White Water Canyon (I think, it was going pretty fast).

Coaster Critic

...yeeted over the drop and dragged along behind the out-of-control train as you get fantastic ejector after fantastic ejector, with some flojector and even a couple small floater moments in there.

Elijah Bacelieri

I was prepared for ejector airtime like most GCI’s so I was very underwhelmed with the ride.

dragsterguy21

Also amazing how smooth it is for a wooden coaster but not smooth like a RMC Hybrid which is nice because it still keeps that wooden feeling.

Isaiah White

It doesn’t give up, and the lateral G-forces are beautifully done and placed perfectly throughout the ride to give an out-of-control (but still comfortable) ride!

Amusement Insider

The ride itself isn’t too bad, fairly smooth with good moments, but it just feels like something is missing.

Matthew Hustler

I love the ride and the roomy cars, though the shed was a bit over-hyped in my opinion (although I do love "Cars".

Oldiesmann

The only thing I have to complain about here is the lift hill, which is very jerky, loud, and has lots of torque flutter.

Michael M.

I love the quick pops, I love the surprising number of more aggressive sustained moments, and I love the weird, twisting angles of it all.

I'm NotHere

It’s really violent, it throws you around, the theme is great, and the location brings it all together to complete the package.

2012Jarrett

I liked this wooden coaster, it felt out of control in many points.

Alessandra

The whole ride is not that long but it makes up for it in a graceful sort of intensity.

Coaster Critic

Not only does it provide a great family coaster that younger thrill seekers can ride, but I personally rank it high overall out of my favorites.

Ride On_17

I would say that’s how the whole ride went was fast! I will say that Mystic Timbers lives up to it’s hype with the airtime hills and speed.

Shawn Meyer

Quick and terrain hugging, airtime hills disguise turns hidden out of sight and often going the opposite way to what you think it will do.

Dave Scott

The very quick dips, turns, and bounding airtime hills, accomplished by the very flexible trains, were stunning.

Coaster Critic

This is by far the best GCI in my opinion; it is peddle to the metal from start to finish and every airtime moment always hits.

HockeyNinja

I felt as we sat there for at least a minute while "Total Eclipse of the Heart" played, the climax of which was a poorly animated snake projected onto a screen, utterly killing the pacing entirely.

Taylor Williams

It was a pleasure to see such a well trained and caring staff really putting effort into getting people moving so fast.  Thank you.

YOULLBEBACK

My buddy and I did 7 front-seat rides in an hour because there was no line and usually no wait for the front.

Coaster Nut

I’ve only been able to ride it once so far this past Friday afternoon (luckily I showed up at 2pm and only waited 20 minutes after the park opened), and I absolutely loved every second of it.

jbeast

The line gets really long for this one though, and I feel like the wait in the shed at the end is too long.

Paige Schmid

After waiting 3 hours for our first ride (we went right there at opening Saturday) we figured we would be done, but we were so glad we gave it another shot.

Worth the queue

It was well worth the wait.

CocaColaParking

Waited about 2 hours to ride but it was well worth it, unlike the last ride I waited that long for, Valravn which was a major disappointment.

Zdiddy

Should I ride it?

All of Mystic is glass smooth for a woodie besides the valley of the first drop which is a bit shaky, but that may just be nitpicking.

Matthew Cofer, Captain Coaster review

I feel like this coaster is overrated and I was told it was the best in the park but this is simply not true.

Ryan Holcomb, Captain Coaster review

I Just rode Mystic Timbers Today and it was Great! It was My first visit this year and I got on 5 different rides (Mystic, D-back, Banshee, Beast, Racer).

Xdog42, review

The first drop sitting on the right side at night after it’s warmed up all day is unreal, feels like you’re going to fly right off the tracks and die.

a b, Captain Coaster review

Having never ridden a GCI before MT I don’t have a lot to compare it to, however it was by far one of my favorite wooden coasters to date.

RaiderLAS, review

This ride is just not a top ten or even 20 coaster it’s in my like top 30 or 40 out of my 67 different credits.
