What riders love
  • It rides incredibly smooth for its age, you can get great airtime, and high fiving people on the other train was an unmatched experience!!
  • And since both sides have the same queue, you can have other members of your party on the other train and add stakes to the race.
  • Steel Vengeance has the insanity, Maverick has the launches, Top Thrill has the... thrills, but none of them let's you high five your enemies car or do stupid stuff like rowing your coaster in a race like Gemini.
  • Went in with zero expectations and came out pleasantly surprised by the strong airtime.
  • I'm still very impressed with the amount of airtime I got on this, and it seemed faster and taller than the other side-by-side racers I've tried.
  • Great air in the back on the drops.
  • Bonus points for the two drops that go right under a support beam and make you feel like you're gonna be decapitated.
  • It's smooth, though, and packs a decent amount of airtime and a surprisingly great handchopper on the drop.
  • Unexpectedly good first drop and the rest was solid.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Cedar Point

It rides incredibly smooth for its age, you can get great airtime, and high fiving people on the other train was an unmatched experience!!

Jo

There are a few moments of good floater airtime, which surprised me given that it is an Arrow but perhaps shouldn’t have considering how it is apparently designed to be like a woody.

Michael M.

Good airtime in the back row but can be slow on some curves it’s a really fun ride when their running both sides it’s funny because whatever side I’m on we always win

Stormin Norman

Anyways, Gemini is packed with great ejector (first drop and subsequent air hills) and a great final helix.

Aric The Kakapo

There isn’t really much airtime except for the first drop and it has a lot of slow and boring elements but it is still decently fun.

Carter Eckhart

The airtime was pretty decent and it was way smoother than the red side and somehow we won the duel but the turnarounds are kinda lame and not that intense

Logan Boulis

...turns are a great opportunity to high-five people in the other train, the hills all have this heavenly flojector, the trains are really well padded actually, and the helix at the end is VERY intense!

Beau

However, the transitions are a bit jarring and the majority of the layout is your generic ‘70s wooden coaster flair - lots of outs & backs in a row.

Kw6sTheater

There is some Arrow jank and discomfort on the uncushioned seats, but Gemini makes up for it in laughs.

Eric Esty

The layout is boring, its rough, the helix at the end has a g force of at least 3.7, and its just bad!

Ethan Smith

The first drop and other drops were great and the ending helix was intense.

Sean Kaufman

A fun coaster that should really be considered a family coaster (and given a height requirement to match), it loses a lot of its luster when not racing.

Jackie ODoyle

It’s a much more tame, casual ride, but it usually has a short line and it like no other!

Thunderbolt

I’m still very impressed with the amount of airtime I got on this, and it seemed faster and taller than the other side-by-side racers I’ve tried.

Max S.

During the slow turnarounds there is a lot of interaction with the other train, making you forget about the slow speed.

Chermaine Streppel

A hybrid racer with some good airtime drops but the turns take time and they don’t do anything in these points.

Tom Fairnie

Even with one side going, the capacity was great, and I can’t imagine how quickly they could get people out of the station with two trains.

Max S.

Really easy to get on.

Sean Reardon

It still plays its role at the Coaster Capital of the world extremely well, being the out-of-the-way capacity monster that is always open for a fun time.

Maddux

The ride has excellent capacity because they run both sides as much as possible, which also means you are likely to duel.

Erik C.

Partially because it rarely has much of a line but it’s also just very enjoyable and has some sneaky good airtime in the back especially coming off the fifth drop.

Bryan Bonafede

The lines also went by super fast, making the experience much greater.

Emile P.
Height fear

It goes up the first hill at a good rate, isn’t too scary (fear of heights) and is a great coaster

@andrewtuokkola7401

As we were going up the lift hill, I was feeling confident until I realized how high up we were, so I turned to my mom and said “I think I wanna get off now 😅”.

It has some nice airtime and a deceptively incredible first drop, but people have to chill when they say the airtime is elite or anything remotely like that.

Tom Fairnie, Captain Coaster review

It might not be as janky (my memory is more from the red side so who knows), but it still has some pretty bad profiling.

Bubble Gaming, Captain Coaster review

It was a fun coaster, my wife and I were expecting it to be a woodie from a distance until we got closer and saw the steel track.

anonymous Outcast, Captain Coaster review

We got stuck on the track 60 feet up on the initial climb and spent the next 30 minutes Instagramming our bird’s-eye view.

Pittsburgh Magazine, published review

Another terrible Arrow ride that you breath a sigh of relief upon surviving and exiting.
