What riders love
  • The whole train gets the full force of the s hill mid ride, which provides some seriously powerful sustained ejector mixed with laterals.
  • It has some crazy airtime moments and is overall just a really underrated ride.
  • There is a great little element halfway through with a nice pop of airtime followed by a turn.
  • It starts with a drop that is better than the hyper several feet away especially in the back.
  • The first drop is fun, and you feel the speed with the straight track.
  • Crazy intense helix right afterward which leads into one of the most wild ejector moments I have ever experienced.
  • I rode in the backseat a few times and I was surprised how powerful that ride is.
  • Excalibur is more sort of a proto-GCI twister layout with lots of laterals and a few strong airtime pops.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Valleyfair

The pacing of this is off the charts and the twisted airtime hill gives off possibly the most intense airtime moment I have experienced as of now.

James J.

There is a great little element halfway through with a nice pop of airtime followed by a turn.

Josh M.

In the back, it was more like floater, but still good.

Blake Stoudt

The airtime was really good though.

Scott V.

Front row gives a crazy lateral jolt while back row gives a violent ejector kink and seat slam on the first drop.

Carter Eckhart

I remember this hill giving ejector for those in the back as well in 2019, but it was giving strong floater for me in 2022.

Canobie Coaster

This old Arrow is relatively smooth and what is most noticeable is its super fast pace for what seems like a mine train with a big first drop.

David

It’s by no means a great ride, but its just so weird and clunky, that its just fun.

Incredible Coasters

The only issues that I have with this ride is the rattle and jerky turns, the duration, and the walk to the ride.

James Jenkins

Crazy intense helix right afterward which leads into one of the most wild ejector moments I have ever experienced.

guiderex

I rode in the backseat a few times and I was surprised how powerful that ride is.

HeyIsntThatRob?

The banked turn is fun and weird, and then you hit an intense helix that crescendos with an airtime moment.

Blake Stoudt

Not only that but this ride has an intense helix that makes me gray out every time I go on this ride.

James J.

Excalibur is really fun and actually has some good forceful moments!

@KatieKiwi1144

The rest of the ride has some ok laterals and positives mixed in as it takes the course at a quick pace.

Carter Eckhart

The first drop is fun, and you feel the speed with the straight track.

Blake Stoudt

It zipped, it zoomed, but yeah, it was a little shaky.

JiggidyNDG

You then navigate a speedy low-to-the-ground turn.

Canobie Coaster

Excalibur is at the back of the park so the line is almost always a walk-on which is great.

Gavin

On the bright side, even on a busy day, Excalibur is usually a walk-on.

Canobie Coaster

The only issue is the shortness of the ride and the one train ops.

James J.

The minimal padding, the bumpiness, and the small lap bar are huge cons for me.

First drop suggests promise, but it was janky, uncomfortable and short.

Excalibur is more sort of a proto-GCI twister layout with lots of laterals and a few strong airtime pops.
