What riders love
  • The track is beautifully placed with the Six Flags sign and water feature right at the entrance. Love the sights and location of the track on its layout.
  • The layout is long and has a very nice location going through the trees on the mountainside.
  • Nontheless it's in a good location, uses the trees and hills to good effect, and saves the big trick to the end.
  • I absolutely love that they have a sign over the track right before the inversion warning you that strange things are about to happen and you need to keep your head back for their one inversion. It really made me laugh.
  • Runs smooth as butter, fun drops and tunnels, and a surprisingly intense loop!
  • This coaster was meant to be a fun coaster for families, perfect for first inversions consisting of only one vertical loop.
  • However, it absolutely nails the vertical loop.
  • The loop is fittingly dramatic, the positives on the turns are forceful, and the final helix is great.
  • There is something about a Schwarzkopf loop that is so distinct from all other manufacturers, and this one has one of the first modern inversions to ever exist.

Vs. other coasters at Six Flags Magic Mountain

...than one would expect of a coaster of its age, the build-up to the truly revolutionary loop is very well crafted, and the lap bars give you that wonderful floaty freedom at the apex of the loop.

Evangelion Martini

Fun Schwarzkopf looper with a very underrated night ride, very smooth for it’s age, and good intensity on the loop.

Evosioa

the ride is smooth the only intense part is the loop but it is really really boring for me and is smooth for it’s age but my big problem is that it is slow and to many brake runs DUH.

mr random coaster person O'Connor

Imagine my surprise when I got an incredibly smooth, very long, absolutely fun ride.

Proxy 303

Very smooth for it’s age and the lap bar is comfortable and the loop is pretty forceful.

Niko Ramos

My first time on this was 2012, and this ride was so bumpy I suffered a massive headache afterwards.

@TooSweetVlogger

It was kind of fun when I rode it 20+ years ago, but it’s lost its smoothness, and there just isn’t much going for this coaster anymore.

John Montague

This would be good for a first upside down coaster because it doesn’t do much apart from the loop which is kind of intense

Henry Japha

The loop is fittingly dramatic, the positives on the turns are forceful, and the final helix is great.

Eric Esty

The loop is pretty good and intense, the rest of the ride is decent but not bad.

Joel Simon

The pacing of the hills and drops is very gradual, which makes this a good lower-intensity ride, which Magic Mountain doesn’t have a ton of.

Gabe S

On my first time at Magic mountain this was the first rollercoaster I ever rode there and now I’ve ridden every ride there so this Is a good starter coaster

@CarsonL1pscomb

The buildup to the loop is pretty hilariously long compared to a lot of the stuff nowadays, and there is a lot of dead time.

Kellen Grady

the experience was smooth, but the brakes were a little overkill, as the ride was already pretty slow.

Emmett Seguine

Has good capacity, back row is alright and you can feel just a little bit more pull.

Joolz US

This coaster is fun, and it is worth your time if you have enough, but it pulls ridiculous waits because it commonly runs one train, even on busy days.

Zach

My biggest con for this is the abysmal capacity I experienced for my day here at SFMM.

Henry Japha, Captain Coaster review

Probably one of the more classic coasters in the park, this ride goes out over the main entrance fountain and gives spectacular views in many areas.

Ethan Finn, Captain Coaster review

This is an excellent coaster for someone’s first inversion, given it is fairly tame and the loop itself is not too intense.

Erik C., Captain Coaster review

Fun Schwarzkopf looper with a very underrated night ride, very smooth for it’s age, and good intensity on the loop.

Evosioa, Captain Coaster review

an historical coaster with the obvious limit,i like the location completely immerse in the nature and the loop was fun.

Alessio Romano, Captain Coaster review

A really nice little coaster that I thoroughly enjoyed when I needed a break from all the intensity this park has to offer.
