What riders love
  • This thing has some very solid whip on the drop as well as the zero g roll, corkscrew and surprisingly probably the best whip I’ve felt on an immelman.
  • The inversions are amazing and definitely get you a couple inches off the seat.
  • The entrance and exit of the cobra roll give some incredible whip.
  • Forceful and smooth, could feel the blood rushing to my legs during some of the maneuvers.
  • The corkscrew into the tight high-g turn is one of the best moments on any invert.
  • The rest of the ride is great with low to the ground turns that provide a lot of forces that are very intense! If you love forces and intensity this ride is for you.
  • And as a nice plus, this is probably the smoothest B&M Invert of them all.
  • I got one ride in the back row, but even there, I got no headbanging, and there was even a pop of airtime.
  • The park has done well at maintaining the quality of this coaster and it shows!

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Dorney Park

But it is still pretty intense and the pace of the second half is awesome, especially with the airtime-filled drop and the low turn by the entrance.

Benjamin Andrews

It’s very smooth and the floatier approach the back half takes is an interesting change of pace, but the opening three inversions don’t have anywhere near the snap or positive forces of most inverts.

Bryan Bonafede

...loop is also pretty fun and forceful and all the turns and helices are very solid, the airtime pops into the brakes as well as on the drop off the helix over the entrance we’re very fun and rare for...

Cooper Zimmerman

How the hell does an invert have ejector? This thing is amazing.

Colligo

I was surprised at how forceful some of the elements were and how good the floater was on the second drop and bunny hop later in the ride.

@CoasterHorizons

You then climb into an airtime hill which actually gives some good floater airtime.

Coaster Adventures

Overall a very smooth ride might get one or two head bangs due to the over the shoulder restraints but overall a smooth coaster.

Isaiah White

It’s an enjoyable invert and very smooth, but I didn’t experience any of the whip or intensity that others have praised.

Coaster Nut

Overall a very smooth and well paced ride with no dead spots and a great color scheme to add.

Cooper Zimmerman

Talon is a very fun, smooth experience, and the blend of forces on the different elements was awesome.

Alexander Marko

I’m still not a big fan of the headbanging caused by the horseshoe restraints, but nevertheless Talon is a very solid ride, and probably the best Dorney has to offer.

Ryan Armstrong

Really fun and whippy Invert that zooms through its layout, making for one of the more aggressive ride experiences I’ve had on a B&M Invert.

Evangelion Martini

The loop is also pretty fun and forceful and all the turns and helices are very solid, the airtime pops into the brakes as well as on the drop off the helix over the entrance we’re very fun and rare...

Cooper Zimmerman

The inversions, especially the zero-g roll, were fun and intense, and while not my favorite at Dorney Park, this was overall a great ride.

Alexander Marko

I prefer Talon to Afterburn, because it feels satisfyingly long while retaining intensity and has a great variety of elements.

Kw6sTheater

Talon is an incredibly forceful Bolliger & Mabillard invert located at Dorney Park in Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Coaster Adventures

There are multiple points on Talon where I grey out, I think the drop is very thrilling, the zero g roll is just as whippy as the ones on the older inverts, the wave turn after the drop

@Derangedlefty

Not to mention the pacing on this ride is excellent, no dead spots and the ride hauls and feels like it just keeps getting faster which is weird but I like it.

Carter Eckhart

It stays low to the ground through the landscaping near the ride and has a great sense of speed with whip and positives.

Jack Jack J.

The pacing on this ride is great, as it does not let up at all from start to finish.

Clayton Latone

I like how it doesn’t have a midcourse so the pace is uninterrupted.

holacoasters

It’s got a few dead-ish spots, but for the most part, Talon is an intense, floaty, and fun B&M Invert.

Anthony DeNight Jr.

It gets bonus points because (1) we pretty much walked right on every time and (2) the operators had to boot some kid who was under 54" and was trying to sneak his way onto the ride by standing on his...

Kristofer Wempa

Only things were that the dispatches were about 3 minutes in between, but the ride made up for it, with the only other things about it complaint-worthy being that it has a slow turnaround section.

Silver Thunderbolt

...would give so many of my mortal possessions to introduce single rider queues to coasters like this; I wasted too much time of my life waiting for this ride when every train had like three empty seats

My love of this coaster probably has a lot to do with nostalgia, but it’s really a solid coaster.

Lauren Kelly, Captain Coaster review

A meh drop, a meh loop, a horrible zero g roll that has neither float like newer B&M rolls or whip like the old B&M rolls, a meh Immelmann, and then a alright corkscrew.

SnowyShores, Captain Coaster review

Noticeable dead spot when riding in the back row, but disappears as you get closer to the front.

The Real E-Rock, Captain Coaster review

It’s got a really nice cool layout with 4 forceful inversions, really intense turns, and a couple of airtime moments.

Nicolas Mattioli, Captain Coaster review

This thing has some very solid whip on the drop as well as the zero g roll, corkscrew and surprisingly probably the best whip I’ve felt on an immelman.

Cooper Zimmerman, Captain Coaster review
