What riders love
  • Otherwise it's a fun ride through the forest with a pretty finale over the water.
  • The location on the edge of the water is great for a family coaster like this.
  • The location with a castle like building as the station with the final turn going over the water is cool and the helixes are fine.
  • I enjoyed "jumping" (as I called ejector back then.) It's still fun!
  • This was one of my first ever roller coasters and my first one over 20 feet tall.
  • I think it's a great little ride, and I've personally never found it uncomfortable.
  • The majority of the layout isn't particularly special, but if you ride in the back row there is a pretty crazy hill at the end of the ride that can absolutely send you.
  • This ride is pretty mild and pretty average for a mine train until you hit the last hill we're it has almost rmc level ejector.
  • It's a little rough but it has a nice layout over the water and the hills at the end actually give some surprisingly good airtime

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Six Flags Great Adventure

There are some nice airtime moments on the ride but these are somewhat painful as your legs violently get slammed into the lapbar.

Chermaine Streppel

This ride just suddenly got so much better than you expected it to be thanks to that pop of ejector air.

Incredible Coasters

It’s a little rough but it has a nice layout over the water and the hills at the end actually give some surprisingly good airtime

Inverted Thrills

This ride is pretty mild and pretty average for a mine train until you hit the last hill we’re it has almost rmc level ejector.

Insane Coasters

There is one crazy ejector moment at the hill right before the final drop that flung me out of my seat, but not in a good way.

Clayton Latone

The drop off the mid-course is pretty gradual, but it can occasionally give some faint floater airtime in the back car.

Canobie Coaster

I think it’s a great little ride, and I’ve personally never found it uncomfortable.

Em McMahon

There is an obvious rattle and jankiness to the profiling on the turns, but it’s really not that bad, and nowhere near as bad as I was expecting.

David

The only thing going for this terrible ride is that is has great ejector in one hill before entering the lake and it’s a classic, but everything else is nothing but pain.

Vinnie T

This ride had so much positive G I thought I would die

@pk_lo4638

It has a great helix with a lot of speed and the airtime hill give so much ejector in the back.

Lightning Productions

It does maintain most of it’s speed throughout the whole ride, so it isn’t slow.

Jake The coaster dude

For a single chain lift this ride holds its pacing surprisingly well.

David

Talk about crazy pacing.

angela

I have been on run away train a couple times and its way faster than it looks on camera

@jessied2721

Wow I feel like it’s running faster than it used to

@Z.D.G.Entertainment745

+ usually never have to wait in a line, sometimes can ride twice without getting up

Alex B

Should I ride it?

Incredible Coasters, published review

Why is this still here, I’m sure Batman will be fine as the oldest rollercoaster in the park.

Jonny King, Captain Coaster review

I know that Peter from Theme Park Crazy said that this was one of the worst coasters he’s ever ridden, but believe it or not, I actually enjoyed it.

Sean Kearns, Captain Coaster review

I love this ride so much but it really does suck at some parts.

Christian, Captain Coaster review

I was then diddled by the most outrageously rough coasters I have ever ridden.

symical coaster, Captain Coaster review

Hold on!" I enjoyed "jumping" (as I called ejector back then.) It’s still fun!
