What riders love
  • It's an absolute airtime machine, and that final drop inside the tunnel gives some gnarly ejector.
  • After the midcourse seems to only increase your speed, you get flung out of your seat with the drop.
  • I didnt realize how important airtime was for me until this ride, It's my favorite ride at my main park!
  • I rode it in the last row in the night and when the first drop came i put my hands up then down cause i was suprised and the drop is so intense.
  • I love it when at the top of the lift hill there’s a sign that says wait let’s discuss this. Then the first drop is exceptional.
  • The first drop? Lifechanging.
  • It's very smooth, and provides a nice long ride as well.
  • It is very long and filled with airtime and great overbanks.
  • Great airtime and over banks, plenty of length, just a lot of fun.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Six Flags Over Texas

The first drop and the ejector airtime hill before the midcourse are incredible, as well as the airtime hill underneath the lift hill/drop.

tate nortman

The second over-bank is the best in my opinion, because every time you exit it you get a crazy amount of ejector airtime.

Limitless Park

The first drop is fantastic As no matter where you are sitting you will get a burst of Airtime.

Sean Matrai

Only the last three or four hills just before the final brake run give airtime, and it’s floater at that.

Kw6sTheater

I mean the first half is fine but the second half doesn’t even get any airtime even though it’s airtime hills for the whole way!

Lightning Productions

Maybe a little underrated amongst RMC’s oeuvre, in large part because those Gerstlauer trains are considerably roomier than their own.

Bryan Bonafede

What it does well is offer a great ride experience with an ultra-smooth track, comfortable trains and a fantastic first drop.

Martin Sanders

It has some fantastic elements, a great first drop, the glass-smoothness common with an RMC and the layout proved to be long with fantastic pacing throughout.

Sean Reardon

The Gerstlauer lap bars are so comfortable and are vastly superior to the RMC-made bars.

Brendan Keller

One thing I remember about the Giant was how rough and fast she was.

@lolbuster01

I rode it in the last row in the night and when the first drop came i put my hands up then down cause i was suprised and the drop is so intense.

kinzo cloud

The layout is similar enough to pay homage to the original Texas Giant, but different enough to really increase the intensity and fun.

Matthew Ebert

The second half had a couple of little dead spots where the intensity lagged, but this is a really fun and intense ride overall.

Coaster Nut

It has several intense airtime moments, a long length, and good pacing.

Dylan

It’s not super intense but has a great first drop and fun layout with a ridiculous amount of airtime!

Judah Boles

not aggressive at all, and easily weakest rmc, and thats not debatable.

Sean S.

For me it’s the fact that this is one of the faster rmcs and only uses it’s top speed for lame turns in the first half.

Grady Morrison

...drop sent adrenaline down my body and the embankment and hills are amazing and give you speed throughout the ride the ride is fairly long alowing you to enjoy every moment however toward the...

Brybry Brody

It slows down some towards the end but I think that gives it a nice change of pace from the constant ejector we get nowadays.

Chris Jones

The second half of the ride features many dead spots and Loses nearly all of its Pacing.

Sean Matrai

Very smooth and a long ride length without horrendous lines.

Jonathan Stafford

Update: It’s the best coaster in the park, but it’s rendered impossible to re-ride with the substandard ops and the ridiculously long queue.

Bifflesaurus

Despite only getting 2 rides because of the singular train operation on both my days, this ride was very fun.

Christian Ortiz

You go down the drop, get your fix of ejector airtime, and go over some nice hills.

Jake Williams, Captain Coaster review

Underwhelming compared to Untamed from Walibi Holland that I’m used to from one of my home parks.

Dennis van Rijswijk, Captain Coaster review

New Texas Giant was my first ever RMC, and as I await the opening of Iron Gwazi, it’s currently my second favorite.

Eric Esty, Captain Coaster review

The ride begins by exiting the station, which is surprisingly well themed to some sort of barn or garage, and climbs up the 153 foot tall lift hill.

Limitless Park, published review

It’s a solid coaster but it just seemed lackluster and probably the most boring RMC I’ve been on.

David, Captain Coaster review

This is one of the weakest RMCs with pretty weak airtime overall, but there’s a few moments in there with ejector.
