What riders love
  • That backwards launch is awesome and it's rare to see a backwards launch that's that powerful.
  • The anticipation of watching each train ahead of you, hearing the brakes unlocking down the tunnel and the lights dimming as the LIMs kick in and blast the train away.
  • I love the launch, I love hearing how crazy it sounds when you are somewhat near it!
  • It also feels like you absolutely haul through the layout and go way faster than you're supposed to.
  • The ride then enters an inverted top hat. This moment will make many gray out with its intensity.
  • The inverted tophat is crazy and the overbank is intense.
  • Then you stall out and your life flashes before your eyes as you stare either into the ground or into the sky, depending on if you started forwards or backwards.
  • It’s disorienting getting launched backwards through a ride like this but then it pauses up high on the spike and you get to really enjoy it and finally see everything.
  • The top hat is one of my favorite inversions with great hangtime and the overbank is fun.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Six Flags Over Texas

You then roar through an overbank, which is a little rough, and then backwards up the gigantic vertical spike which provides some airtime at the top.

Carter M.

The backwards launch is unique and forceful, the spike has super sustained floater and is just pure fun, and the overbank and valleys pull some serious g’s.

Carter Eckhart

The launch was surprisingly intense, the train was comfortable, the air times were great, and the backwards moments were just the right amount of intense.

Kyle Fax

Especially being launched backward, the feeling of weightlessness facing vertical with track that far down below you, just staring at the skyline, is crazy.

Rick S.

It’s slightly rough for a steel coaster, and the trains are pretty cramped, but it is definitely a can’t miss ride at Over Texas.

Carter M.

The skyrush effect is where the g forces are so intense that your lap bar comes really tight and it hurts, for that reason, don’t staple yourself on this ride,I was nervous as hell,oh,and the operations...

ben f.

Louis, and the color and location isn’t as pretty, but on the surface it’s still a fun and forceful ride with a great launch.

Eric Esty

All that aside, this ride is CRAZY intense I recorded 5.17 positive Gs on this ride which is INSANE.

Dylan JM

The backwards launch into that inverted top hat is absurd, and only bit of respite you get in the entire layout is the second or two on that vertical spike.

Evangelion Martini

I thought the launch was much more forceful and the overall ride was more intense as well.

Jack Jack J.

Did front row yesterday going forward, I love the fact that it’s not as crazy intense.

@JessPoleRabb

It also feels like you absolutely haul through the layout and go way faster than you’re supposed to.

Carter Eckhart

The backwards launch is great, and at 70 mph, you really feel the speed.

Carter M.

The mr freeze was otherworldly when you arc over them beams so high up and fast then come back so fun, i loved that feeling you get in your stomach.

@turtletank11

...back row because of how the boost on the spike engages, the front row offers an incredible opportunity since you get a great sense of speed that really maximizes the entire first half of this ride.

Roller Coasters of Thailand

I wish there was more to the layout because it is over so quickly, but the line moves pretty quickly with the unique station for a shuttle coaster.

Matthew Ebert

Mr Freeze has a great loading system that keeps the line moving quickly, and a solidly themed queue, especially for Six Flags, that unfortunately can be roasting in the summer when the AC is having...

Carter M.

My biggest complaint is that Six Flags doesn’t utilize both loading sides at the same time which leads to unnecessarily long lines.

Jonathan Stafford

Waited an hour in line during opening weekend ERT for passholders only for this to break down Twice in a span of 40 minutes.

I have been riding this coaster since I was a kid, and it is still very impressive for a launch coaster of it’s time.

James Mims, Captain Coaster review

That backwards launch is awesome and it’s rare to see a backwards launch that’s that powerful.
