What riders love
  • This is a really fun family gci that almost feels like a thrill coaster.
  • This is a fun ride for me since it's one of the most intense coasters my daughter will ride.
  • The hills and speed felt bigger and faster than the listed numbers.
  • The hills have great airtime and the layout and pacing are pretty good as well.
  • The airtime hills do actually give decent floater.
  • The pacing is absolutely amazing and the small airtime pops are so much fun.
  • Riding in the back row down the drop is crazy, what an underrated first drop!
  • I like the first drop through the tunnel and it gets the pace going quite well.
  • The first drop in the tunnel is great and the pacing is very strong.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

The ride still has some fun airtime pops and turns too, plus the pacing is quite good and gets better throughout the ride.

Carter Eckhart

This ride has many moments of strong floater airtime, along with some surprisingly strong laterals.

Ben Lilly

InvadR is a solid GCI, and despite being labeled as a family coaster, it still provides great laterals and airtime.

Brendan Keller

You will be pleasantly surprised with the air and speed in the back whereas the front felt pretty tame overall.

IronChef C.

Despite the weaker airtime compared to some stronger GCIs, the first drop is super awesome, the track runs pretty smooth, and the ride is well-paced.

Anthony DeNight Jr.

There weren’t any notable moments of airtime or anything else except for an okayish first drop and a rough underbank turn.

Bolton Lawless

It’s also far smoother than other woody’s I’ve recently ridden - not an RMC by any means, but not that bad either.

Sean Reardon

The layout is great, and the millennium flyer trains w/out seatbelts is amazing, but MAN this coaster probably has the strongest rattle in the park.

brynley

I was surprised with the speed though, and it was still pretty fun despite the pain of being tossed about.

BingoDingo

It’s short and sweet with a good degree of maintained intensity throughout and some peaks of adrenaline that kept me engaged as well.

Sean Reardon

It’s so fast and intense it’s hard to tell what is happening, so a 1-minute ride is good for me.

Coaster Bird

It gives some shockingly strong airtime on each hill and some great lats and a pretty intense ending helix.

Cooper Zimmerman

This is put into an aggressive, excellently paced layout that has awsome terrain interaction.

Ben Lilly

InvadR got a lot of bad press when it opened, mismatching its family friendly nature with thrillseekers’ expectations of an intense expansive woodie.

Theme Park James

It’s not too intense so it’s a nice step up for people that want to try a slightly more intense ride than a family coaster.

Max S.

nice speed and turns but was totally bumping into my cousin the entire time and u get thrown around a fair bit.

andrea

There are some great laterals, and it feels fast.

Nathan F

The hills and speed felt bigger and faster than the listed numbers.

Sean Reardon

I dont know why, but all the lift hills were zooming today and this hauled on a different level then any other woodie I have ever ridden

@cone2233

Whenever I ride this it is HAULING so no matter where I am I get some really good laterals and airtime.

@jeon-__-josh

Bonkerz laterals and a fun layout but it’s over very quickly and can get some long lines compared to others in the park.

IronChef C.

Also has no business ever running one train with super slow ops.

Criticised for

Other than the pacing and comfortable trains it doesn’t do much.

Glass Cannonn, Captain Coaster review

The best part of this ride was the pre-boarding video showing an actual (presumably) Viking boarding the ride and leading the charge against an unseen foe.

The Real E-Rock, Captain Coaster review

It has a surprising great first drop (in the back row) followed by a short but relentless course packed with everything you would want from a tiny GCI twister woodie.

Zachary Strader, Captain Coaster review

This is a fun ride for me since it’s one of the most intense coasters my daughter will ride.

Matt McIrvin, Captain Coaster review

It is short and doesn’t stand up against the world’s best woodies, but it is still fun.

Theme Park James, published review

It’s perfectly in the range where families/little kids will enjoy though enthusiasts will still find good fun in it.
