What riders love
  • White Lightning features that classic, tight GCI profiling, allowing for an excellent combination of snappy transitions, wacky lateral/airtime combo moments, and tiny ejector pops all over.
  • What makes this one a lot of fun is the sporadic airtime you get throughout the duration.
  • An excellent family thrill woodie, rode it several times at night and it offered some fantastic airtime and laterals.
  • You can marathon on this awesome coaster all day with no Universal or Disney crowds!
  • White Lightning is a fun, charming little woodie plopped right next to the entrance.
  • This ride feels like a family coaster on steroids.
  • It gives good airtime and laterals, and its fast pacing makes it a great ride.
  • I rode this in 35 degrees with an empty train and it was still ripping through the layout.
  • GCI's floater airtime, short ejector pops, and moments of laterals and speed lend themselves much better to a more family friendly coaster, while still being a very fast paced blitz of a coaster.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Fun Spot America Orlando

It’s not a tall coaster and has a fairly simple out and back layout but it’s very smooth and has lots of airtime and so it’s easy to repeat.

David

There wasn’t as much airtime as I thought there would be (just mild pops of floater), but I hadn’t ridden in the back.

uhhh roller coasters

Back row night rides with a full train make this thing a little airtime machine, as long as you can keep the lap bar from coming down throughout the ride.

Tyler Neftelberg

The hills do nothing just weak floater at best, also in the middle of the ride on the turn there is like a jolt that you have to prepare for.

pinfari paul

I was also impressed with how smooth it was which I assume is a decent re-tracking job within the last few years but maybe it’s just taken care of consistently.

Max S.

It was so comfortable.

Brian Sheldon

The ride has a really fun first drop and the smoothness is way better then a couple GCI’s I have ridden.

pinfari paul

The ride experience was rough, jarring, and loaded with the implication that it’s falling apart (which, in itself, is human).

Evan Schwartz

I’m 5 years late but this ride had my neck/back sore

@woodsierharpy7875

A pretty intense ride with some good floater moments.

Jack Jack J.

It’s the perfect smaller adult coaster and good introduction for kids and a lot of fun.

David

It’s not what I would call thrilling or exhilarating, but it packs a bit of a punch.

Drive Safely

Now, the ride itself is very fast paced and leaves no time to breathe between the lift hill and the brake run.

Coaster Critic

There are some really fun airtime moments, and also a really good sense of speed to boot.

roller rider

It has some nice floater to near-floater pops, and a quick paced layout!

Matheus Castello

White Lightning offers a well paced flurry of forces, lots of small pops of airtime and laterals being crammed into the punchy little layout, that while ends quite quickly, is overall very...

Eric Esty

I love this ride mainly because, the drop feels much higher than it is and you feel much faster than your going..this might be a favorite wooden coaster

@purplemoonrose2624

You would never wait longer than 5 minutes (on an average day), and you would never get bored of its simplistic yet never boring thrills.

Coaster Critic

You can marathon on this awesome coaster all day with no Universal or Disney crowds!

Thomas Mitschke, Captain Coaster review

This is a fun ride but comparing it to other GCI’s I have done it’s definitely towards the bottom of the list.

Chris Jones, Captain Coaster review

Solid GCI with some nice airtime and laterals- just held back a little by the shorter length.

Anthony DeNight Jr., Captain Coaster review

Now, the ride itself is very fast paced and leaves no time to breathe between the lift hill and the brake run.

Coaster Critic, published review

This thing was very fun! It has some nice floater to near-floater pops, and a quick paced layout!

Matheus Castello, Captain Coaster review

Super smooth and lots of fun with some surprising airtimes and laterals.
