What riders love
  • I was literally tossed by Pantheon into the air out of my seat on the launcher going back down the hill.
  • The airtime hill on the swing launch going backwards is by far the best airtime moment I have ever experienced on coaster.
  • That bunny hill on the backwards launch has the craziest ejector airtime moment I have ever experienced.
  • The multi-pass launch is one the most insane sequences I've experienced.
  • I was worried I was gonna puke my brains out, but instead I came out having a blast getting shot backwards up a spike and shooting up that hill again.
  • The inversion after the first launch gives you intense hangtime, and the swing launch is super unique and insanely exhilarating.
  • I was a bit surprised afterwards to realize that it had only 2 inversions, but they are both memorable: a corkscrew right out of the station to show you it means business, and a long, long zero-g stall that is basically an airtime hill taken upside down.
  • The zero g stall feels like it last forever.
  • The awesome hangtime moment in the vertical reverse spike is just as good in row four as it is in the back in my opinion.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Especially in the back, the spike is a blissful moment of sustained floater (perfect 0G, pretty much), and one of Pantheon’s highlights.

Kw6sTheater

...really hard so you slowly crawl down the drop in the front, in the back, it’s like a new gen dive coaster on steroids, with absolutely insane ejector, and then immediately being plummeted by Gs again.

SteVe Glazer

The airtime hill on the swing launch going backwards is by far the best airtime moment I have ever experienced on coaster.

Keystone Coasters

The swing launch is masterful and the backwards ejector airtime hill is unreal, those are definitely the highlights of the ride for me.

David C.

The airtime isn’t too much, and the outerbanked hill overlooking the river is a fantastic view.

Sam Dickson

It is intense yet smooth, has great airtime (especially in the back of the train), and is thoroughly enjoyable anywhere in the train.

Michael M.

Pantheon is a Jack Of All Trades- packing every single possible force into it’s long, glass smooth Intamin layout.

Anthony DeNight Jr.

It was super fast, exhilarating, smooth, and it gave some great airtime, especially on that bunny hill.

Anthony Ricciuti

The elements make you feel like your flying with the smoothness of the track and floaty airtime.

GoesBy Jay

It also has a bit of a rattle which can be a bit frustrating for such a good coaster but the ride is too good for this to affect it much.

Shmee

I rode this ride last Thursday, and i’ll tell you that this ride was definitely an Intense ride, Possibly the most intense in busch gardens!

Charlie

Only con I can think of is it’s a bit to intense for me marathon which probably isn’t a con for most but I’m getting old.

Glass Cannonn

The ride is extremely intense and aggressive and the launches are great and that airtime hill in the middle of launch going backwards is just unbelievable.

Coaster Voyager

Insanely good coaster that holds nothing back to deliver an amazingly intense, fast-paced and world class ride experience.

Shmee

The rest is kind of weak and not all that intense but the stall is decent and the final little snaps are good in the front.

Cooper Zimmerman

I knew this one was going to be wild based on the track layout, but I missed the memo about how fast it was going to be until we rode it.

Liz Barnes

It is absolutely insane with its crazy speed and how it goes backwards and upside down, a lot!

David Bragdon

...the hill, which is so great and fresh, Launcher launches you backward this time and it is fast in a really surprising way, quickly going backwards and up a high vertical which is awesome by itself.

Joseph D.

Insane ejector, powerful launches, and a fast launches + epic headchoppers.

Aric The Kakapo

The opening section is too slow, and the final section from tophat to finish has good elements but lacks the speed to make them fun.

Coaster Nut

The top hat is slow, but the drop in the back gives one of the best sustained ejector moments I’ve experienced.

Ben Lilly

Yes, the ride is short but it’s a blast the whole way through and lines tend to be on the shorter side compared to other coasters at the park.

Sten Harris

BGW also needs to get that 2nd train fixed ASAP because running a single train REALLY increases the wait time.

Kristofer Wempa

The capacity was bad when I was there because they were running only one train.

Caleb H.
Motion sickness risk

This was an amazing coaster, and if it weren’t for the fact I can only ride it twice before puking, I’d say it’s among the best I’ve ever enjoyed!

Matt S

Most important of all while I found amazing, it did not make me sick at all, even though every other shuttle coaster I’ve done has made me feel at least somewhat nauseous.

Anthony Ricciuti

Should I ride it?

Fantastic! Has some seriously insane ejector in the front row on the swing launch and some fantastic airtime moments.

Colin Berthold, Captain Coaster review

Pantheon’s middle segment is the only good part with the swing launch, backward airtime and spike.

Coaster Nut, Captain Coaster review

Not quite a masterpiece in my book, but checks a lot of important boxes: Launches, airtime AND hang time, huge tail spike and cool elements.

The Real E-Rock, Captain Coaster review

I think the little corkscrew or mini 0G roll at the very beginning is pretty crazy if it’s running slow, but if it’s running normal or fast, the transition from that crazy hang time to immediate 2.5 gs it’s pretty crazy and left me kind of lightheaded.

SteVe Glazer, Captain Coaster review

Yes, the supposed Roman mythical theming of this coaster is a bit sparse, and it ends too soon, but everything else about it is great.

Matt McIrvin, Captain Coaster review

The layout is big and open, the wave turns are just like an RMC, the stall is phenomenal, the launches are great, airtime is varied and spread out.
