What riders love
  • The first drop was one of the best I've experienced, the steepness of the lift hill and the steepness of the drop means you just get whipped over it no matter what row you're in.
  • The first drop on this RMC is NUTS.
  • That drop is bonkers!
  • You get ejector airtime the whole way through.
  • The ejector hill is the best element in my opinion.
  • Next comes a mental ejector hill, leading into a Dive Loop that soars between trusses of wood, marking the manufacturer's knack for creating exciting interactions with the ride structure.
  • Plus that stall is by far my favorite RMC inversions and provides the best hangtime of any element I've experienced.
  • the zero g stall was increadible, and is my favorite inversion ever.
  • The stall has some of the best sustained hangtime anywhere.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Six Flags Great America

the first drop was great from any seat in the coater, and it only got better, adn over banked turn, shortly followed by an insane ijector hill.

Harrison P.

It pretty much feels (and looks) like a vertical drop, and riders in the back row will be treated to an ejector moment as they get whipped over the top.

Coaster Critic

Goliath is a very good compliment to raging bull, and has two elite moments of ejector air.

Derek Swartz

Goliath has an incredible first drop, a smooth yet disorienting ride, and some amazing airtime and inversion moments.

Jacob Clark

To make up for it’s lack of airtime, Goliath will be scoring a 9 in the intensity category.

Limitless Park

I guess it’s fast and smooth? Nothing really wrong with it but it just feels like a waste of resources and space

Zac AJ

The topper track makes for an incredibly smooth ride, and apart from the visual aspect of twisted wooden beams, I couldn’t tell the difference between riding this and a steel coaster.

Coaster Critic

Plus, it’s smooth and comfortable.

Eric Esty

Wow to Goliath!!   I SO wish that KI would have gotten a ground up RMC ride just like GOLIATH rather than Mystic Timbers.  It is so FUN, so smooth, so flippy, and so many headchoppers. What a blast!

Driver8rws

Sure, the first drop and the zero-G stall are nice, but the entire course is littered with massive potholes, resulting in a rough, punishing ride.

Michael M.

Something CRACKED in my neck on the ride and I thought I got whiplash.

Angela Sanchez

The ejector airtime off the first drop and the camelback was unrivaled, the whip coming out of the top hats was insane, and a greyed out after the first drop, but it is short.

Cian Howson

From the second you release from the chain lift hill, you are absolutely hammered with intensity.

Limitless Park

It is extremely intense, the first drop is amazing, and it hits riders with element after element.

Konrad Sherinian

I’ve ridden it at least 5 times and will always come off shaking because of how intense it is.

Max S.

It’s characteristicly an RMC, but perhaps a little less intense than some of the company’s other offerings - something of a welcome relief for those wanting an extended re-ride session!

Theme Park James

The first drop whips you over the lift hill, which is followed by an overbanked turned taken at great speed and height.

I'm NotHere

You cruise through the elements very quickly, and before you know it, you’re sitting on the break run.

Limitless Park

The layout itself is just okay but the speed at which each element is taken greatly elevates the ride for me.

Lettuce Two

It set the record as the world’s fastest wooden coaster upon opening and definitely feels like it.

Evan G.

However, it is quite short, which usually wouldn’t be an issue, but there is so much filler track to the point where half the ride doesn’t really do much.

Derek Swartz

My first ever RMC, and I got a walk-on in the front row as the first ride of the day I went.

I'm NotHere

The wait was ridiculous, mainly because they were only operating 1 train and also because no one understood the loading procedure.

Brian Sheldon

It’s great no matter what, but the line is always very long and the ride length is too short to justify a long wait time.

Rollertoaster
Height fear

The lift hill alone gets my nerves going because it’s so steep.

Max S.

i remember going on this, the drop was so scary and i couldn’t breath for like the whole ride.

I rode this many times during my 2 days I had at Great America and this coaster is something special.

Christian Ortiz, Captain Coaster review

The layout is so banal it’s hard to believe it was even made this millennium.

Zac AJ, Captain Coaster review

It is extremely intense, the first drop is amazing, and it hits riders with element after element.

Konrad Sherinian, Captain Coaster review

Overall, Goliath stands out as a must-ride attraction at Six Flags, drawing in crowds eager to experience its twists and turns.

Lakshay Poply, Captain Coaster review

Of the four Rocky Mountain Construction creations I’ve ridden to date, I’d place Goliath at the bottom of that list, simply because it’s over far too quickly.

Coaster Critic, published review

I really, honestly don’t know how this is ranked as high as it is.
