a very visually appealing ride
What riders love
  • The first drop and airtime hill provide powerful floater airtime, while the rest of the ride before the midcourse showcases its speed.
  • The second hill after the trims is always really surprising since it looks the same but is more sustained than the others.
  • There are some good airtimes, especially on the first hill.
  • The first drop is very good, and the first airtime hill is nice.
  • The first drop is great and the first half has good airtime, positive Gs, and laterals.
  • This is a really solid ride that exceeded my expectations I was expecting it to be fun in the first half and boring in the second half. However I actually had a lot of fun on it.
  • For someone getting into roller coasters, this is a great 1st Hypercoaster
  • Speed and height make it fun.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Valleyfair

The first drop and airtime hill provide powerful floater airtime, while the rest of the ride before the midcourse showcases its speed.

Scott V.

Luckily, the ride did end strong with a wonderful string of airtime hills after the midcourse brake run.

Limitless Park

The first hill has great sustained floater and I enjoy coasting around in the turnaround I guess but man this ride wastes so much track, 2nd half might be the most pointless stretch on a coaster.

Carter Eckhart

Very phenomenal first half with its great first drop, parabolic 5 second airtime hill, and swooping downward drop to the left.

guiderex

Coming from a guy who’s home park is VF, you never get airtime on the return run.

@1BillionMarbles

It tracks much more smoothly than that ride though and is a bit less janky, though it definitely still has some tangent-radius jank.

Michael M.

If I had to choose between front and back, I would choose front because of the smoothness and speed, but it’s still a bummer that you lose the airtime at the end.

Limitless Park

While not uncomfortable, the ride is running shockingly rough this year and it’s gutted the first half of the ride almost completely.

Nyargleblargle

It has a great first drop into an elite first airtime hill into the jerky and boring turn around into the brakes that suck.

James Jenkins

The turns can be pretty forcefull and the last one even made me grey out once but thats the only thing they have going for them.

Gavin

...to see and breathe especially on the drop, we almost passed out from the rain going into our mouths and the G forces until we finally made it back and decided to not go again until it stopped raining.

@NS5_USR

But overall this is a nice fun “family thrill” coaster that has some nice airtime and visuals and is overall really fun.

James J.

For someone getting into roller coasters, this is a great 1st Hypercoaster

Cooper Weeks

It’s quite fast and how it has the on-ride photo section inside the tunnel.

@TheFoxy90sKid

It meanders through a giant turnaround, trims itself to death, and gives what can best be described as “almost-airtime” on the return run of hills.

Ethan S.

It might be tall, but it is such a gradual and slow decline that you don’t get any sort of pull in the back.

Limitless Park
Height fear

went on it yesterday for the first time its only scary when your at the top the rest is fun.

@Silenceikillu82x

I sat in back the whole time and I had no idea how high up we were but I do know the drop was scary and huge stomach sensation

@Khloeisbeautiful

Should I ride it?

Not great hyper coaster with great air time on first drop and second hill but otherwise a fairy boring no forces slow bunny hill run.

Peak Coasters, Captain Coaster review

This ride is severely overhyped, I understand it was made over 24 years ago but as a hyper coaster it is a dull boring and lackluster prototype, Valleyfair really needs a new coaster of some sort

Noxa Valleyfair goer, Captain Coaster review

It’s really crazy how hard those trims kill this ride; I don’t think I’ve ever been so disappointed when stepping off a hyper.

Evangelion Martini, Captain Coaster review

The first drop and first floater hill are awesome especially in the back row.

Cyrus Himli, Captain Coaster review

It might be tall, but it is such a gradual and slow decline that you don’t get any sort of pull in the back.
