What riders love
  • I had never done a pretzel loop before this and I felt like I about to be forced through the train.
  • I love how the beginning makes you feel like a diving bird or falcon, and then the loop is just sheer intensity! I thought my head would pop off!
  • The inversions are great, especially the pretzel loop, which offers extremely strong positive Gs with your back towards the ground, a very unique and intense experience.
  • Like it says above, those inversions are IMPRESSIVE, not just intensity-wise but in how they're placed and timed for high impact.
  • Pretzal Loop is very forceful, but the corkscrew after the 1st roll is to die for, giving the best floater i've ever experienced (I likely just got a good ride) I even very slightly prefered it to the pretzal loop!
  • Pretzel loop is absolutely insane, and the “rolling over” afterwards is very fun.
  • The gliding and the part where we dive near the water and it splashes is so relaxing and fun.
  • I love how the water shot up just as we hit the turn.
  • While flying coasters can be somewhat uncomfortable at times due to the excessive positive G Forces, Manta is still highly fun, with a creative layout and an amazing setting packed with near-misses that make you think you're about to scrape your face against the ground.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at SeaWorld Orlando

The coaster itself is amazing and had one nice ejector airtime spot, its fast paced, no rattle, not too short and has a good layout. Thrill: 4/5

Joel Simon

First drop in the back row provides some strange airtime, made even weirder in the flying position.

Landon Speares

The pretzel loop is amazing, and the rest of the ride makes you feel like you are soaring through the sky, with the exception of the pop of air off of the mcbr. The reason this isn’t 5 stars isbecause...

Waluigi’s Perfect Potato

The drop off of it provides a unique moment of airtime on a flying coaster.

Carter Eckhart

This coaster lacks airtime but that is what I expected.

am

Ride is beyond smooth yet very intense. Only down side is my massive balls and penis that get a bit cramped by the seat if it’s loose.

brothers back row

Not to mention the restraints are fairly comfortable. This is how to do a flying coaster (well, it’s no FLY, but really, what is?)

Tobin Billings

The ride isn’t too long but doesn’t feel short at all, and is smooth and comfortable except for one jolt but it doesn’t hurt at all.

Carter Eckhart

The restraints didn’t bother me ans it found them quite comfortable, I just wish that you didn’t have to stay in that position in the brake run. Manta is one of the best flying coaster out there and...

Everything Roller Coasters

The one con about riding in the back is that if you are riding on the outside seats, it can get a bit rough.

Limitless Park

it was very uncomfortable for me, but it was my first coaster of the year. I love the layout and location in the park.

Raymond Jackson

The first drop is great and the pretzel loop is amazing and very intense. The inversions are thrilling as it feels like your in a fighter jet.

Everything Roller Coasters

This inversion is super intense and is the best on the ride, in my opinion.

Limitless Park

This has nice inversions, the pretzel loop felt a little too intense. Diving around the ground is fun

Henry Japha

This is a very unique, intense, and overall fun ride. Pretzel loop is absolutely insane, and the “rolling over” afterwards is very fun.

SocialismDoesntWork

Makes the rest of this ride feel like a family coaster. The first time I went on this, that pretzel loop caused me a two-hour-long headache.

am

It was a complete blur while also being extremely fun, and I ranked it as my #1 at the time. Fast forward some time and I rode many more coasters and I became more of an enthusiast, so this ride...

Carter Eckhart

The train is still going pretty fast at this point, so it is a really nice element.

Limitless Park

I’ve been on Superman Ultimate Flight (SFOG) and Nighthawk and really didn’t enjoy either, but Manta was a stellar experience...bigger, faster, and much more forceful. I don’t know why a more intense...

Sean Reardon

The reason this isn’t 5 stars isbecause some of the ride feels like a family coaster, with very low thrills and slow speeds.

Waluigi’s Perfect Potato

My only dislike comes from the mid course brakes, which are largely unnecessary for anything other than 2-train-on-track simultaneous operation, which I have never seen occur!

Dave Scott

Great ride with insane positive and lateral gs, good capacity only problem is the ride type leads to some neck and or head discomfort if stuck on the brake run for a while.

Danny Miller

My only complaints are that after the pretzel loop it does feel like it meanders a little, and operations are pretty terrible. Besides those things the ride is great.

Alex Maxam

The line took 100 mins. It was horrible.

Spencer S.
Motion sickness risk

On top of that I always get sick to my stomach on these.

David

gave my dad motion sickness and he had to take a nap on a bench :(

Manta is easily the most intense coaster I’ve ridden. I had never done a pretzel loop before this and I felt like I about to be forced through the train.

Thomas Mitschke, Captain Coaster review

This is a decent flying coaster at best. I guess I don’t like flying coasters very much because I felt like it wasn’t very good.

Spencer S., Captain Coaster review

That pretzel loop is the best part. The gliding and the part where we dive near the water and it splashes is so relaxing and fun.

Sierra Garcia, Captain Coaster review

This is my new favorite flyer model and I think it’s way better than Tatsu. The only thing Tatsu has over this is the massive pretzel loop.

Max S., Captain Coaster review

Love, Love, Loved this ride! So hard to describe the feeling but it was incredible.

Morag Livingstone, review

These flying coasters are trying to replicate Tatsu and the terrain is flat so it just doesn’t work very well. On top of that I always get sick to my stomach on these.
