What riders love
  • I love those last corkscrews because they are surprisingly smooth.
  • The corkscrews give satisfying laterals and the loops are surprisingly very forceful.
  • It's got an incredible location (blood pool? Getting eaten by a monster?), is super forceful, and contains probably the best head chopper in California.
  • Your literally hearing a demon talk to you while going through its mouth.
  • The theming is pretty cool for when it was first released and I feel the history behind it with the theme song.
  • Campy old-school theming gives a little extra amusement.
  • Besides being a mid arrow corkscrew, the first loop has the most intense G's I have ever pulled.
  • The second vertical loop always makes my head spin and so my vision blurs as I enter the tunnel with the red lights right after.
  • 2nd row: I enjoyed the theme and the tunnels, and that second loop is seriously one of the most intense I’ve ever experienced.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at California's Great America

No real airtime anywhere, sometimes these Arrows will give a pop or two.

Blake Stoudt

No airtime and just 2 vertical loops and 2 corkscrews.

California Coaster Addict

It’s still an old school Arrow custom looper but it’s very smooth and re-rideable compared to most Arrow loopers.

David

The drop into the two loops is fun, but the two corkscrews can be quite rough at times, slamming your head into the harness.

Ryan Rotzin

However the transitions on this coaster are terrible and they do cause a bit of head banging, the first drop is also weak.

RThirtyEight Coasters

It’s not rough at all, it’s more forceful and intense which may be a bit too much for the more faint of heart, which is why some don’t like it.

Vivaan Chopra

2nd row: I enjoyed the theme and the tunnels, and that second loop is seriously one of the most intense I’ve ever experienced.

John Montague

Decent little Arrow Looper, great inversions and has some pretty good intensity.

Niko Ramos

Besides being a mid arrow corkscrew, the first loop has the most intense G’s I have ever pulled.

Anthony Dale Castro

The corkscrews give satisfying laterals and the loops are surprisingly very forceful.

NorCal Coaster Media

The double loops are always so intense on an arrow and this is no exception.

Max S.

Certainly not worth a 90-minute wait, though, like I had the displeasure of experiencing last month.

Criticised for

Besides being a mid arrow corkscrew, the first loop has the most intense G’s I have ever pulled.

Anthony Dale Castro, Captain Coaster review

It’s very rattly through most of the course though, save for the corkscrews.

Nathan F, Captain Coaster review

The inversions are completely disorienting as you fly through the great forest setting and twist through amazing rock sculptures.

Rumham, Captain Coaster review

I have a soft spot for old school Arrow coasters, and I loved this thing.

Spokker Jones, Captain Coaster review

The only good part of the ride, however, there are quite a few janky transitions on this one, which causes my dislike.

Castor, Captain Coaster review

Demon is a pretty awesomely themed ride, and has a cool looking set of corkscrews, but that’s about it.

Reed Dutton, Captain Coaster review
