What riders love
  • The hangtime is always amazing and I love how intense it gets on the backwards launch.
  • The other main pro is the way the station is designed as an indoor tunnel, which increases the ride experience since flying through that tunnel lets go you get a better sense of speed than just going through and open station.
  • Fun launches, fun layout.
  • The hang time is pretty terrifying and fun, and it has some decent theming.
  • Solid coaster, highlighted by watching the train speed through the station while you wait, that slow inversion up top, and that vertical drop.
  • The cobra roll is intense and offers a lot of hang time, the launch is a fun surprise, and having just the lap bar makes it better than some of its counterparts.
  • Having fun launches, both backward and forward, and a memorable heartline roll at the apex that gives great hangtime with those lapbars, this compact ride is definitely worth a ride or two.
  • unlike tigris there are no comfort collars on this ride which does improve the experience.
  • Really glad that this doesn’t have comfort collars like many others.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom

Coming out of the barrel roll into the vertical plunge there’s an INTENSE thrust of ejector followed by some very strong positive Gs in the loop.

Coaster Critic

the first time going up has an unexpected “weightlessness” feel to it, and the rest of the ride feels like you’re gonna fall out of your seat.

@a.naomiii

i was in the back and it really kills the airtime on that moment.

Alex Carey

It’s intense, smooth, frightening and amazing.

Coaster Critic

It’s nice that this one doesn’t have the confort collars, but I found this version to be rougher and less fun than the one at Sea World SD.

Gabe S

I’ve riden a couple of these models, most of which are smooth but this one was surprisingly rough, possibly due to its age.

Dylan JM

The cobra roll is intense and offers a lot of hang time, the launch is a fun surprise, and having just the lap bar makes it better than some of its counterparts.

Ethan Finn

Overall my favorite part of the ride is the extreme pop of air at the top and the really disorienting G’s at the bottom of the cliff hanger drop combined with the non inverting loop right after.

Coaster Critic

The positive g’s on the way to the very top were insane and the fast twisting made my neck crack.

@MaxisickProductions

Lack of intensity and it’s mid(don’t get me wrong).

Eli Lassiter Michael

This ride was the scariest there it goes soo fast and it feels like ur gonna fall off

@awwgrody14

This also felt like it was running slower than other ones with the launches not seeming as punchy.

Shmee

Plus the last drop being heavily trimmed blows.

Ryan Hanna

Honestly I thought "Oh great, another short ride in the Bay Area..." I finally ride it in December 2012 (Short lines/no lines!) and my mind was blown away.

@AngryGumball

One other thing to note is that this installment, being the original, one only has two cars which makes the capacity pretty bad.

Erik C.

When I rode this, there was a 2 hour line because of the single train with 12 riders.
