What riders love
  • Whatever they did to keep up the launch, it works because that was so amazingly punchy I was legitimately shocked.
  • The queue around the load area is cool, watching trains launch into the dark tunnel, with a quick burst of screaming and limo tires screeching (SFX), then total silence as the train is suddenly gone.
  • Rock On! Yeah! That's how I feel on the launch track.
  • I mean even the queue theming is awesome and the station atmosphere is insane as the limousine pulls up and you all clamber in.
  • But because Rock ‘no’ Rollercoaster is in the dark, aswell as flying past all the neon illuminated signs and near misses, it makes it seem much faster than it actually is.
  • The theming is also insane but that's expected from every Disney ride out there but it definitely makes you feel like you have to rush threw the line because your going to be late for your concert.
  • The corkscrew was enjoyable, but I think what really makes it a great ride is that it's indoors and the Aerosmith music really sets the tone.
  • But, on a good note, the inversions are fun and scary and I felt like I was going to fly out.
  • This is the roller coaster I credit to me getting over my fear of roller coasters first time I ever went upside down on a ride, and I loved it, this ride will forever hold a special place in my heart even if I haven’t rode the re theme yet.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Disney's Hollywood Studios

There isn’t much airtime, don’t go in expecting that, and the ride does go down a fair amount.

Emery S.

Got a back row ride in the afternoon, and didn’t get much airtime.

Brandon Gorgone

Smooth, forceful, great launch, a very long ride that keeps throwing more track at you, and like I said, Aerosmith theme is awesome.

Evan G.

Everyone told me this ride was gonna be rough and uncomfortable, and it really didn’t turn out to be that way at all.

Anthony DeNight Jr.

Also, as you may expect with an older coaster, there’s rattling throughout, but not as bad as some others in the area (looking at you, Rip Ride Rockit)

Erik L.

The force of this coaster slamming my head against the headrest immediately out of the station guaranteed me that I was not going to enjoy any part of this torture chamber!

Gavin

That first launch is unquestionably the best one I’ve experienced, and I won’t lie, it kind of scares me a little given how intense it is.

Sean Kearns

But because this ride is so intense it also gets to intense.

Remco Bosmans

Thoigh there are only two inversions, they’re pretty fun and you could grey out on the cork screw, especially if you sit in the back.

Ethan Finn

The ride layout is actually pretty average, but being in the dark with bright flashy lights and loud music makes it fun and intense.

gegg

The launch is a nice start, but this ride is way too short and too mild from an intensity standpoint for my taste.

Sean Reardon

It’s a little rattley especially with the over the shoulder restraints, but the launch is forceful and the darkness really helps with the sensation of speed.

Emery S.

...love this ride it was my first inverting coaster and that launch is amazing the 3 inversions are good and the pace is nice but the harness is to bulky the rattle is pretty bad and its to short for me.

Charlie! Hays!

It also keeps its speed way better than the Premier spaghetti bowl coasters.

Jax Lunsford

so within like 2 minutes my blood sugar had fallen that quickly and i think that’s a perfect example of how hardcore and fast this rollercoaster is 😂

@ashton3460

It is completely indoors in the pitch black darkness so it is very intense until it slows down about 3/4 of the way through and it becomes just a showcase of 2D buildings.

roller rider

The ride definitely dragged a little bit, and the trains are too compact.

Brandon Gorgone

The waiting for this ride at a "quiet" day at disney was atrocious, like the queue didn’t move at all.

Joel Simon

A little uncomfortable and the lines get long, but this ride is a classic.

Nice and forceful launch, but not as positives heavy or whippy as the flight of fear clones.

The force of this coaster slamming my head against the headrest immediately out of the station guaranteed me that I was not going to enjoy any part of this torture chamber!

Gavin, Captain Coaster review

That first launch is very fun, same with the first two inversions, but after that, it’s basically just a high speed pass by theming.

SocialismDoesntWork, Captain Coaster review

The Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster is a classic indoor Vekoma launched looper that has fantastic theming both outside and inside the ride.

Clayton Latone, Captain Coaster review

The coaster is still the same, and it is great, so it is worth riding but not worth waiting longer than you would have before the re-theme.

Coaster101, published review

The launch has some good pull, the thematics are cool and you can barely notice that you’re upside down.
