What riders love
  • It got fast tight turns that is fun start to finish.
  • The sliding sensation is very fun, and it is quite smooth.
  • Flying Turns was basically my childhood coaster, and it is definitely the best in the park in my opinion, and not just for sentimental reasons.
  • Smooth, with great swinging turns and a legendary backstory.
  • This ride was intense, smooth, and fun all at once.
  • It’s unique and smooth. Really good ride for a parent and child to ride together.
  • This roller coaster is good as a novelty and a ride, seeing how it's the last wooden bobsled in the world, and also the fact that it's a great ride.
  • With the ride demolished and no plans, I’m guessing Knobels reverse engineered it from photos. Hat’s off to those who made this happen.
  • The second half provides a pretty thrilling experience. The bobsled banks pretty far and even has a little whip.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Knoebels Amusement Resort

The capacity is not very good, no airtime.

Sharon Ludwig

The transitions from bobsled to track are surprisingly smooth, unlike the aforementioned Alpine Bobsled.

Bubble Gaming

Flying Turns is very smooth and whippy, and even pulls some good positive gs on some of the turns.

Beau

This is a pretty interesting ride, for a wooden bobsled, it remains very smooth...

Vinnie T

Smooth, with great swinging turns and a legendary backstory.

Eric Esty

It is far smoother than the steel bobsleds.

Canobie Coaster

The sliding sensation is very fun, and it is quite smooth.

Alexander Marko

The second half provides a pretty thrilling experience.

Bubble Gaming

This ride was intense, smooth, and fun all at once.

Wicked Cyclone

There aren’t really any forces, but feeling the sleds whip from side to side is cool and silly and worth experiencing once.

MapleFlakes

A fun bobsled ride, not anything crazy but definitely recommend for when visiting Knoebels.

Tangzy

It got fast tight turns that is fun start to finish.

anonymous Outcast

You feel like you’re going very fast and feel like you’re going to tip over on the turns.

@DelcoAirsoft

Capacity is awful at 3-6 people per car, but the operators do their best with sub-minute dispatches which give the ride an hourly capacity in the low hundreds.

Ethan S.

It probably has the lowest capacity of all of Knoebels’ coasters, so it gets a little wait, but if you’re accustomed to the crowds at big parks it’s nothing you can’t handle.

This coaster is incredibly unique and a must ride for anyone who is interested in coasters.

Eric Esty, Captain Coaster review

While I did have to wait 40 minutes for a relatively short-lengthed queue line, it is still a bobsled and generally only had slightly worse capacity to the defunct bobsled formerly at my home park.

Bubble Gaming, Captain Coaster review

Be warned though, the capacity on this ride is awful, and the line absolutely crawls.

Evangelion Martini, Captain Coaster review

Flying Turns was basically my childhood coaster, and it is definitely the best in the park in my opinion, and not just for sentimental reasons.

Beau, Captain Coaster review

It is a lot of fun for a low-force, family-thrill kind of ride, though!

Em McMahon, Captain Coaster review

I love this coaster and it’s probably my favorite at the park, it’s only my second bobsled coaster as of writing this review but it’s also the best of the two.
