Vs. other coasters at Disney's Hollywood Studios
There’s actually a small amount of air time in the back.
Adam Rouhiainen
There is even some good airtime on some of the hills if you sit in the back!
Andrew Krivsky
Decently fun, the double down has a nice pop of airtime.
Jax Lunsford
when you see all those airtime hills back to back, you would expect some airtime right?
Sam Lapsley
I wish the bunny hops near the end atleast had slight airtiem but they have nothing.
Liight .
Very good family coaster that’s glossy smooth and well themed.
Alec Mr Coaster
The ride is also incredibly smooth, and is actually pretty intense for a family coaster.
Andrew Krivsky
I went on this ride while it was poring rain. It was really fun and a very smooth ride.
Ajbiz
It’s incredibly smooth, and it’s full of fun sound effects, Pixar easter eggs, and even plenty of voiced characters!
Basil Robinson
Each drop and turn feels smooth, making for an easier riding experience.
Stephen Cabebe
Then the rattle kicked in. It wasn’t that bad but it was noticeable and not how a four year coaster should be riding.
James Jenkins
The ride never goes too fast, and doesn’t really exert any forces on its riders - but that’s okay!
Florida Coaster Kings
The ride is also incredibly smooth, and is actually pretty intense for a family coaster.
Andrew Krivsky
It’s about as intense as Barnstormer at Magic Kingdom, but long, with launches, better theming, and just more diverse elements.
Chris Jones
I want this to be my future child’s first coaster one day. Not intense, but so joyful.
Lauren Kelly
Pretty fun coaster, but not very intense. Launch felt weak.
Bing
The launches feel a lot more like a gentle push, which is fine for a family coaster but it definitely left me wanting more.
Emery S.
Even when riding, you don’t feel like you’re high up at all.
Stephen Cabebe
However, the highest height of this ride is 50 ft. It looks high because of its exposed ride track, giving the illusion of extra height.
Stephen Cabebe
Both the main hills offer great views of Hollywood Studios, and the mid course launch is a nice which keeps you engaged.
Ethan Finn
Way more fun that expected, particularly near the back. Good speed, some airtime, and gloriously themed
Simon C.
First of all, that second boost is punchy and very fast for a family coaster.
roller rider
I rode it 2 years ago in the 2nd car, and it felt soo slow. When I most recently rode it, I requested to sit in the very back and it Improves the ride tenfold.
Bryant Buckles
And Slinky Dog Dash’s top speed, although high, doesn’t feel that fast.
Stephen Cabebe
The launches have no kick, you crawl at the highest points and there is little pinches of airtime.
Sam M.
Good for kids. Way too slow.
Rodrigo Rodrigues
I’d definitely say it’s worth waiting an hour for, but I would try and get a fastpass for it if the line is any longer.
Andrew Krivsky
Fun, but not worth 80 minutes in the sun.
Birb from not Canada
Waited 90 minutes for a highly themed but family launch coaster.
Peak Coasters
It’s a good family coaster that suffers from lines that are too long, especially with how short the ride is.
Jay Van Linden
Fun ride, especially at night, but not worth the insane wait times.
Rowan L.
The only bad thing is that if you don’t have a lightning lane or fastpass the line can get really long so if you don’t have fast pass get to this first.
JJ McIntire
Then the rattle kicked in. It wasn’t that bad but it was noticeable and not how a four year coaster should be riding.
James Jenkins
It’s not particularly smooth or comfortable.
Eric Esty
I’d describe it as a better themed, and slightly less rattly version of Penguin trek.
SocialismDoesntWork
Had the same problem on the other family launch coasters: the lab bar tightened while we went through the helix and on the second launch.
Giga Guy
With its sweeping, smooth turns and shallow drops, Slinky Dog Dash is potentially a great roller coaster for guests that are sensitive to motion sickness.
Stephen Cabebe
Additionally, unlike the side-to-side swinging ride vehicle of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, the ride vehicle for Slinky Dog Dash doesn’t swing side-to-side.
Stephen Cabebe
There are no forces, other then a tiny bit of laterals.

Slinky dog dash is a PERFECT ride for the whole family. The ride itself is very smooth and it’s a great way to introduce the little ones to coasters without it being so extreme.
Rando, Captain CoasterIt’s relatively smooth, has some modest launch elements that get the tingles and heart-rate going just enough to be entertaining...and while it won’t rank with my Steel Vengeance and Velocicoaster experiences, it truly is a lovely ride with great theming that is accessible to a wide range or riders. My wife and daughter both loved it too!
Sean Reardon, Captain CoasterPossibly the king of the family coaster. A must ride at the end of the night, when the theming really comes alive
Claire & James Daniels, Captain CoasterUnfortunately though the first launch is really lame - why even have a launch that only goes to 20 mph? Second one is fun though and overall it’s just a fun little family coaster.
Kellen Grady, Captain CoasterSure, the coaster stops completely halfway through the ride which ruins the pacing a bit, but the second launch gets you going again before you’re sitting too long.
Andrew Krivsky, Limitless Parktheming was good, and the capacity was TERRIBLE I waited 2 hours in the hot orlando sun for this.
