What riders love
  • The first drop is whippy and intense and the drop off the first turnaround had some great ejector in the back which is by far the best seat.
  • A few boring spots, but that ejector hill makes up for it.
  • The pacing is definitely off and feels like one of those early GCIs but with buzz bars for some reason, so some of the airtime is actually really good.
  • Expected it to be really rough, but it was pleasantly smooth.
  • This ride is actually very underrated.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at Adventureland Iowa

The first drop is whippy and intense and the drop off the first turnaround had some great ejector in the back which is by far the best seat.

The pacing is definitely off and feels like one of those early GCIs but with buzz bars for some reason, so some of the airtime is actually really good.

CoasterKing

the seatbelt for people who are young like me the buzz bar and seat belt combo left me getting floated out of my seat and the first drop in the back left me floating for seconds

Decker Thomas

my middle of the train ride but not intolerable and at least you get reward with more forceful ejector air.

Glass Cannonn

also if you’re not in the back theres not much air time.

@piggy4651

Recommend front row as it does not have a lot of air time, so might as well try to get some in the up hill and speed in the turns.

Ian

Expected it to be really rough, but it was pleasantly smooth.

Scott V.

It is, however, a little rough (but not unmanageably so).

Theme Park James

...with this coaster is the length of the ride experience, the one train ops, and the seat which had an annoying divider that I kept bashing into and extremely tight seatbelts that are hard to loosen.

James J.

Even though it is only just short of seventy feet tall, Outlaw is speedy and intense, and packs a lot into its twisting layout.

Theme Park James

Was outlaw a pretty rough ride at the start, I am sure not, He designed this ride to have tons of intensity with a small height of just under 70 feet, an amazing achievement.

coaster land

Me and my friend tried going in the front first, and it wasn’t that bad, then we tried the very back, and it is way more intense.

@norahmcconahay

Only got one ride on this so I can’t really talk that in depth, but I sat in the second to back seat and didn’t really feel much force at all.

BMIA

It brings you down quicker on the drops because the front is pulling you down quicker and I feel like it is a lot more fun in the back because you go so fast!

@norahmcconahay

A few boring spots, but that ejector hill makes up for it.

Scott V.

the only problem I have with this coaster is the length of the ride experience, the one train ops, and the seat which had an annoying divider that I kept bashing into and extremely tight seatbelts...

While it may not be up there amongst the greatest wooden coasters in the world, Outlaw is still a great rollercoaster which offers a fun ride.

Theme Park James, published review

Outlaw rides like an outlaw, rough, rowdy, and out of control.
