What riders love
  • Again, not going to push the boundaries of intensity for anyone, but I don't see how you exit this ride without a smile on your face.
  • Overall I enjoyed this coaster a lot more than I should have and it’s one of the best family coasters I’ve ridden.
  • It is in a beautiful setting over the water and is themed well.
  • In the back row the two launches are very snappy and the whole ride is full of forceful turns and best of all some great views as the ride is located over the lake.
  • It fills a niche as a "step up" family coaster and the location is great, though!
  • It's not very intense, but the launches add a little zest.
  • The two-launches and the over-the--water setting were highlights.

Performance

Vs. other coasters at SeaWorld San Antonio

At the end i put my hands up and oh my god, The airtime tho

@jobethbuffalo1744

I heard it was extremely boring but I found it was really fun despite the lack of Airtime and the weak launch.

Connor Malone

There was one good outer bank into a drop, but again there is 0 airtime.

Coasters and Christ

Wave Breaker is nothing really special, but it is a fun family launch coaster that is smooth, surprisingly comfortable, and my whole family enjoyed it.

Matthew Ebert

The smoothest to. There wasnt a single part that hurt me.

Ridge

It has speed I guess and it’s smooth, but there is no force, and the layout is pointless.

Coasters and Christ

It was silky smooth and the angled turns were steeper than most family coasters.

Connor Malone

I love this ride it’s a ride for beginners it’s very smooth that’s what I really like about it 💗🌊

@Hello-jc8ol

A very pleasant experience gliding over the glittering water in a smoothly undulating route.

@StamfordBridge

In the back row the two launches are very snappy and the whole ride is full of forceful turns and best of all some great views as the ride is located over the lake.

coaster land

But it’s really nice intro to intensity for younger audiences and delivers a really fun experience front-to-back for all riders.

Sean Reardon

The main downside to this ride is the lack of forces, which makes it a tame ride.

Erik C.

The forces are fairly similar regardless of where you’re sitting, but the visuals and sense of speed are superior up front.

Canobie Coaster

I went on this ride thinking it was a kid ride but it goes pretty fast !!!

@peytonnintendo2214

In all my other visits, it has had the shortest line, as it’s been the only coaster at the park to run 2 trains on my visits, so maybe I got lucky.

@OklahomaCoasterFan

My only negative is how long the line can get because loading and unloading takes time, and the capacity is not that great to begin with.

Matthew Ebert

This coaster has always run just one train in all my visits, so it routinely has a 30 to 45 minute wait even when the other coasters have minimal wait times.

Criticised for

Weak launch

This is one of the best family coasters I’ve ridden and was a pleasant surprise.

coaster land, Captain Coaster review

This family launch coaster has a great setting, but is not that exciting.

Erik C., Captain Coaster review

The launches are decently forceful, the s bends have surprising laterals and the layout plus the motorbike seating position is just plain fun.

Carter Eckhart, Captain Coaster review

Matthew Ebert, Captain Coaster review

Sean Reardon, Captain Coaster review

It’s by no means a bad ride, but the forceless nature of the layout will leave many thrillseekers looking elsewhere in the park.
